If you haven't noticed the Canadian dollar has been on a steady decline, Poor economic management (not to say I didn't vote for Addy Lawrence because I like all the money sitting in treasury now) and a mixture of bad decisions by the admins has caused the dollar to crash HEAVILY.
The only time the dollar saw recovery was by 0.002+ when raw materials were very valuable + scarce in comparison to production of goods.
If you didn't know it costs 0.005 gold to make 1 CAD. As our dollar comes near 0.007 it approaches the cost of the ink and paper it is printed on.

I am taking on my old business practice of stop piling CAD in my account in order to lessen the effects of inflation.

I am calling on all Canadian businessmen and fat cats to collect CAD and wait for a better time to sell it.

I am also calling on all Canadian governments and political parties to unify on the opinion of suspending all budget expenditures. Too much CAD is still being recycled back into the system by the government.
$50,000 CAD a month is more than you think. Leave it in the treasury, let the mercenary groups figure it out for themselves as they have done in the past.

the admins are flooding the market with new currency. There is absolutely nothing that can be done about this. This was their plan all along to force people to purchase gold. I'm sure that soon you'll see the rewards halved or worse and make gold even more scarce.

The value of CAD has nothing to do with the economy (what!?).
The problem is that there's a huge shortage of gold. The Admins have initiate gold-sucking programs that leave lots of gold buyers and few gold sellers. Look at the MM. There's only about 60 gold for sale total.

Maybe some of you bright currency traders will stop looking at gold and starting figuring out which "country's" currency should be come the reserve currency of eRep and start setting up currency pairs with it.
I'd recommend the country with the largest population, most stable government, strongest military, and healthiest economy.
What the admin fails to realize is that only a small subset of the player base actually dumps any significant amount of real money into this game.
They appear to think "who cares about the free-loaders?" and that will eventually be their undoing. Who is going to want to dump ANY RL money into this game when all of the "free-loaders" pack up and leave?
