All players start with 4 soldiers, with all neutral regions having 2 defenders.
Turns will be roughly 3 days each (I'll close and process the turn Thursday evening and publish it at 8am/eRep daychange Friday).
The board-
>Moves need to be posted in the comments here for a fair gamelog and the other team to react.
Attacking - Battles are ‘first come first served’ to prevent different teams from attacking the same region. You must border a region at the start of a turn to attack it. Attacking a player before they've moved locks them in.
Defending/Moving - If not locked in, you can help reinforce/move towards a region if within 2 owned ‘tiles’ on the board (e.g. Xinjiang -> Qinghai -> Sichuan). Otherwise you can post 'defend (region)' to stay still.
Casualties - Soldiers are individually lost in order of who posted their move first. Losing all your soldiers will result in defeat. The last attacking player will ‘retreat’ rather than risk their last unit to avoid this but get no soldier intake.
Defeat - Defeated players will respawn next turn in their Capital with one soldier (themselves). If this region is captured and all teammates are wiped off the board, defeat is considered total.

I shall attack Inner Mongolia
I think the map may be a bit confusing between Beijing and Tianjin here as it was too small to insert some names directly on top. Beijing doesn't border Inner Mongolia but it's a great region to attack for turn 2

You know, it's too late now, but I just realised that this isn't a map of Qing China. Taiwan, Outer Mongolia and Outer Manchuria were all Chinese territories during the Opium Wars; they weren't really involved though IIRC, so it doesn't matter anyway I suppose.
I can live with it - end of the day its just a map for us to play on
Was hard enough to get a playable board of modern China to edit!
If I recall correctly I used postal regions for the previous Irish round.
Honestly, this probably works better. Otherwise you'd have to decide connections with Taiwan, and the outside areas would probably be just a case of stretching existing regions anyway. I only really noticed because I was playing a new game of Vic 3 and went "hang on a minute..."
