[NGP] Royal Norwegian Council Proposal

Hello everyone! It has been a little while since I have addressed you from NGP HQ. Our media is a little slow at the moment to so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to propose the NGP idea of the creation of the Royal Norwegian Council. The Government agreed that at the time it was best to choose our own Dictator before we had to settle with somebody we did not trust and that we would discuss the best way to keep our Government going afterwards. To date we have had little discussion and even less results on finding a concrete plan to how we should govern ourselves.
That is why we have been figuring out a solution to our problem. In place of Congress we think it is best to create the Royal Norwegian Council to govern in its place and have set up our proposal of how we believe people should be picked to be represented in the Council, however as this is only the early proposal we are of course open to any other proposals on how to choose Councillors.
Royal Norwegian Council
-Each Party will be responsible to send Councillors to represent their respective parties in the Council.
-Councillors will carry all the duties that Congress Members previously did
-Councillors will have all the same powers as Congress Members
-The Council will leave it up to the parties to choose their Representatives, this could include the Party voting for its choices or by the Party President choosing
-Council Representation will be as follows….
1-5 Members= 1 Councillor
5-10 Members= 2 Councillors
10-15 Members=3 Councillors
20-25 Members=4 Councillors
25-30 Members=5 Councillors
And so on and so forth. Parties will be responsible to send their Councillors on the 25th of each month in place of Congress elections. If a Councillor resigns the party cannot name an immediate replacement until the 25th of each month.
Right now we are in a period of slower activity. It is our belief this will allow for the most active people to take party in Government. We have talked of other ways of choosing the amount of Councillors from each party as well so please make your suggestions as this is only in the preliminary stages and all suggestions are welcome! I wrote the same in the forum and this are my views:
I am going to speak for myself. I haven't spoke with the other 2 members of my party. In fact I'm the president but nobody cares...
First. I disagree with the name. I hate monarchy. It can be Norwegian Council, not ROYAL Norwegian Council.
Second. We are a three member party. It's very small. So, nothing to say about the number of councillors. We have to agree.
Third. The only problem (and the biggest) is what happens with those people who haven't any political party. How do we give them the chance to have voice in the Council?.
Well, Norway is a monarchy in RL and we now have a Dictator which is why I chose to use Royal in the name.
And when we have Congress elections those not in a party are not able to run and be represented either so this is not different.
It's not the same because in the Conress elections you can vote or abstain. And you can choose for different parties each month. But in the Council only those with a political party would have a voice (through their own party). But not the people witout a political party.

Yeah i do not like it either. Congress work fine as it is but new ideas are welcome 🙂

Yeah then why would you base this Council from congress members? It should come from the party itself. That could work and i like the name Royal Norwegian Council even if John Guerreiro do not 😉
The only active people are myself, taulen, Delirium and Xibbard. This was going to cut Congress down to a smaller more active group. Look at everyone running, it will just be another inactive month. Its been so inactive we still have no decision of how to run the dictator system here.

I firstly supported the idea, but now I don't know. I didn't remember we would have Congress Elections despite dictatorship
Better to have an elected Congress, then a "Royal Council" that is hand-picked. This idea seems very undemocratic to me.
I was trying to make it so we got active people in Congress. If I was trying to be a dick about this I would say lets just keep it with Congress elections because my party won by a landslide.
But fine then, lets stick with our inactive Congress, thats always the better way to go.
