[Irish Army] Change of Command - Part 2

Day 2,622, 14:09 Published in Ireland Ireland by Mr. Tayto

January 24, 2015

Hello eIreland,

I've spent the last week coming to terms with my new role as Commander of the Irish Army (IA) and today I would like to set out my plans for the IA under my leadership as Commander. I've decided that in a game with a declining population we must adapt in order to survive. We cant use the game mechanics as an excuse for failure. It is my mission to grow the IA, even against this adversity.

Previous Commander - What f**king Ian guy?

Firstly I would like to start by thanking Ian E Coleman for appointing me as Commander. I have been working alongside Ian since my e-birth and he has been an outstanding Commander for as long as I've been part of the IA and beyond. Ian continues to work tirelessly for eIreland and we were lucky to have him as Commander in the IA. Whilst there are going to be changes under my leadership, the solid foundations put in place by Ian has left me in charge of an awesome military unit. Thanks Ian!

The Management Team

There's no way I can do all the heavy lifting myself and in fact with the plans I have for the future of the IA, I felt we needed a team of dedicated individuals, each working on designated duties. As a priority I assigned two 2nd Commanders and a team of Captains who I felt were most active.

Our new 2nd Commanders are:
Ian E Coleman and kuthesh.

Our team of Captains are:
Regiment 1 (Nuubs) - No Captain.
Regiment 2 (Dublin) - Ian Arb.
Regiment 3 (Foreign Legion) - An Sluagh.
Regiment 5 (Leinster) - Nerusia.
Regiment 6 (Munster) - Lexone.
Regiment 7 (Ulster) - BiednyMis.
Regiment 8 (Connaught) - Vlam.
Regiment 10 (Soldiers without Uniform) - Uljanov.

Roles and Responsibilites

I then identified a number of roles that I felt were crucial to our future development. These are: Commune, Public Relations, Recruitment, Uniforms and Bootcamp Officer.

Commune Manager - I'm delighted to announce that James Keiller has agreed to continue in his role of Commune Manager and Supplier of the IA Commune. Keiller's role has changed somewhat over the last year, as we refined the process and he continues to do an excellent service for IA Commune workers. The commune is a crucial part of the IA infrastructure and Kellier's work is much appreciated by all within the commune.

Public Relations Officer - I've appointed Ian Arb to this new role as I felt it was important to have a dedicated member of the team working on PR matters, especially as I have plans to increae activity within the Regiments of the IA. Amongst other things, we are planning competitions and prizes for IA soldiers. All articles published from this new office will be posted in my newspaper and we will be asking for endorsements in order to fund future competitions and events within the IA. Watch this space!

Recruitment Officers - I've appointed kuthesh and An Sluagh to work alongside me in the Recruitment office. Like every MU, we are on the lookout for new soldiers to join our happy family. Also, I'm looking to build on Ian's idea of a Foreign Legion Regiment and therefore I've asked the Recruitment Officers to focus on developing this idea further.

Uniform Officer - My first appointment was Shytach and he has been doing an excellent job fitting out our soldiers with their new uniforms. In the last week Shytach has issued over 30 new uniforms which has greatly helped me in re-organising our regiments.

Bootcamp officer - This is an open position. If you are interested in applying for this exciting position, please send me a PM and we can discuss further. I hope to fill this new role in the next few weeks.

I myself will continue to work on Regiment Management and the co-ordination of the various teams within the IA. I'm looking forward to the weeks and months ahead!

Please note: All future publications from the IA will be posted on this Newspaper, so feel free to sub and endorse if possible. All endorsements will be kept securely within the IA.

Always in the fight!
Mr. Tayto
Commander of Irish Army.
