[Huey George] Update #6 from 10 Downing Street - March 2015
10 Downing Street
Introduction
Three items to update you the citizery of the United Kingdom on; the Referendum, the Montenegrin Airstrike and the UK Treasury.
Dictatorship/Democracy Referendum
I'm sure many of you will have looked at the result of the referendum.
Here is my analysis - If you take the last Congressional Elections as an indication of the voting population the turnout for the referendum within the allocated 48hrs for voting was 24.81%. Against the 'Active Citizens' on our Society Page this turnout drops dramatically.
Out of those who did vote for one of the three options
50.75% voted to "organise a Revolution"
22.39% voted to "remain under the current Dictatorship"
26.87% voted that any "elected Country President is appointed Dictator"
Further analysis of the options shows
50.75% are in favour of Democracy
49.25% are in favour of a Dictatorship
also
22.39% are in favour of Wayne's Dictatorship
77.61% are in favour of myself being either the elected CP in a Democracy or the Dictator/CP in a Dictatorship (or more likely in some cases another citizen who is not myself)
However of course the four results above were not specifically ask for... so are more for interest.
My original intent was for us as a nation to implement of the individual option with the largest percentage of support however considering it has only been supported by 12.59% of the voting population can it really be considered "carrying out the will of the People"?
I am afraid I think not. So for the time being our country remains in stalemate. It seems more of us still need time to make their minds up about the situation and more information to make an informed choice. I can also recognise there is also a requirement for more discussion before we start a revolution.
I myself remain in favour of restoring Democracy and to those who also support this, I'm sure the time will come when we see this come to fruition.
However I was elected to represent the entirety of our society and I don't feel I know how enough about their thoughts. With this in mind if you feel strongly about any decision we could make as a Country in regards to the Dictatorship module I would encourage you to write an article and gather the support of your fellow citizens.
Airstrike
As you will be aware recently Montenegro launched an airstrike with the aim to conquer the South East of England. As a nation along with our allies we successfully repealed this invasion in a very simple and straight-forward manner. A very well done to all UK and ally fighters.

The UK Treasury
As a nation we have 127,804.33cc and 772.46 Gold in the Treasury 34.98cc and 185.76 Gold in the Bank of England. At the start of Wayne's Dictatorship as a nation we had 630,548.53cc and 772.46 Gold in the Treasury 480,082.98cc and 181.76 Gold in the Bank of England.
This is because the Dictator Wayne has transferred a total 700,000cc from the country accounts to Bank of England via donation law proposals which included a proportion of this month's income. He has then made the decision with regards to 1,082,000.00cc as he informs me to place part of it on the monetary market as an offer from the Bank of England, part is on the monetary market as an offer from his own account and that the rest will be used for an upcoming AirStrike from our side.
I have asked him to inform me of any significant money transfers in the future and to gather the support of Congress for any airstrike.
However I feel he owes the Country an explanation in his own words. While I would not class the "treasury" as "stolen" as I believe Wayne will only spend it in a manner he personally feels would benefit our Country. I do feel he should not treat the "treasury" as his and of course before any spend he should feel he has a duty to consult with me, my cabinet and most importantly Congress.
Finally in addition he should be transparent and accountable to the public for any spend of their taxed money.
Close
My promise to the citizenship of the UK was communication and reflection. I want to reflect the majority of the eUK citizenship by working closely with the Congress chosen to represent them to choose together the direction the country heads.
I hope I am achieving this aim via the updates from my hard working cabinet and my own contributions as the citizenry of the United Kingdom should be kept informed.
In this situation we find ourselves in I feel both the Dictator and Congress could improve on their own contribution to the UK media to keep the wider citizenry informed regarding their activities.
Thanks for reading
Huey George
Country President/Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Essentially we all need to agree a sort of working relationship between the people's will via elections and the mechanics of a dictatorship. I think reverting to a full democracy just leaves the problem of a civil war started by an organised hostile force and leaving us with a near permanent PTO
We have a mechanism Congress establishe😛 the elected CP holds the dictatorship.
The sole reason this is an issue is because WayneKerr refused to hand over the custodial dictatorship to the elected President Huey George. Why? Because he doesn't believe Huey George should be the CP despite winning an overwhelming majority at the polls. Wayne's opinion > 411 voters.
We have asked. He has been begged. We have tried reasoning. Now the people will use force to end the tyranny.
The issue you raise isn't what we are resolving in this revolution. People slightly favour having a dictatorship for security reasons, but not under anyone except the elected CP.

Sorry to say this, but I guess you missed the real consequences of a dictatorship. Even if the eUK is in a lucky situation of having a friendly patriotic dictator he CAN DO ANYTHING HE WANTS.
btw, I really don't get how a whole nation can live with such level fear of PTO and/or wipe. Have you guys realized that THIS IS A GAME? Games are supposed to be fun and entertaining, not a massive boredom due to some paranoia.
my 2c
oh look! a dictator of slovakia who put 25% tax and killed slovakia's community has spoken!
[removed]
Dunno how these things you mention are relevant to the eUK situation? o.O
Dictator of Slovakia - yes
increased tax to 25% TEMPORARILY - yes
killed their community? - well, 1) am not sure 2) In case on my own I am able to do that I should be a greatly powerful someone
before spitting out such a statement look after the whole truth, please
or maybe there was no slovakia's community in erep, even people from slovakia who play this game. just foreigners. and you get 80g/month from dictaker medals, good profit you make there.
but whatever it is, good job.
I can assure you I do more golds a week from doing business and fight for medals 😉
Bring back Democracy
You have your chance for democracy - whether to fight or not is now your choice
Bring back Democracy

Apparently eMontenegro and NEBULA thought it was a training war that the eUK paid for. xD

Hilarious to say the least.
The nation voted what the nation voted. So please, bring back democracy.
Democracy now. Dictatorship we can talk about once we are free.
You have your chance for democracy - whether to fight or not is now your choice
You have chosen a helluva way to return UK's stolen cash.
Democracy please... so has Huey Lied to us all ? he set a referendum set no rules then say not enough people voted well they don't work like that, this would mean we could never have any sort of referendums again you was very lucky to get even 100 comments, half the UK is multi accounts anyway, you asked the people to vote, we took time to vote then you back track, what are you playing at?, you say you run the workers rights party but the citizens have no rights at all, right now are you saying OUR votes don't count, the people voted are the people who care about the UK, this is not honorable decision and you set a nasty precedent, you have also let down ALL the voters who voted for you to become CP on the back of voting for Democracy.
22.39% voted to "remain under the current Dictatorship"
Thanks Huey
Huey hardly lied, he just pointed out that too few actually voted for revolution to actually merit the action.
No rules were set out before the vote on how many people had to vote , enough voted over 50% for the action, the problem is most of you are amateur just poor politics once again, people can't even role play politics no more, and just making the rules up as you go.
by the way I'm taking to Huey who can even muster a reply
The irony is that a core of die hard democrats are fighting for an office with a president who refuses to act to defend his office. I am at the point where I am fighting for revolution so that we can discuss impeachment.
Within eUK we are lucky enough to have a skillful Dictator and a solid and reliable President. If either of them were bad or incompetent, then the decision to mount a revolution to topple the dictator would be simple - but both *are* capable.
In this scenario the Dictator has the upper hand (and all of the voting buttons) - so as long as Wayne continues to run eUK in a responsible and efficient manner there is no need to take to revoltion.
The matter of the 'invested' money does concern me slightly - to maintain the trust of the population it is important that all transactions involving public funds should be conducted in an open and transparent manner. If they are not, then the population will have just grounds to rebel against the dictatorship.
At some stage in the future, Wayne is going to become fatigued with the responsibility of running eUK (and it *is* quite a demanding job) - so we should be planning for an efficient succession that will cause minimal disruption to the country.
In the meantime - All hail Wayne - benevolent Dictator (and hang on in there responsible and dependable Huey)!
CC
fatigued? wayne gets 80g every month. I'm sure that it makes him energetic...
just kidding.
Nice to see swift decisive action on that there referendum...
50.75% voted to "organise a Revolution"
lets get on with it, the country has been stagnant and impotent for too long
Hey - let's not.... It should take something like a two thirds majority for something as major as revolution - and do you have the required cash sitting in your back pocket?
Love

You have your chance for democracy - whether to fight or not is now your choice
woohoo we have some action at last and as it happened after my comment im going to take full credit for inspiring it. 🙂
I will not fight for or support anything organised by a thief and a retard.
agreed, it aint worth the risk
If the cash can be found I think we should go down the route the majority requested.
Restoring democracy was one of your main election promises.
Promise broken.
You also promised a referendum, the British people voted to restore democracy, you say you won't.
Promise broken.
How many more broken promises?
How could Huey promise the restoration of democracy while promising a referendum which may not go the way of a restoration of democracy?
Huey promised a referendum, the referendum has happened. But if we really want to be pedantic. Huey never promised to follow through if the result was to restore democracy.
True, but one expects a Prime Minister to respect the results of the referendum, whatever they might be, and to follow the results in his actions.
Not enough people voted to really give some powerful consensus here... don't act like Huey has betrayed you just because you dislike the outcome.
He didn't betray me - I voted for him, after all. The turnout was low, but it's not anyone's fault. It can be low in RL elections too and the end result would still be valid, wouldn't it?
Yes, and luckily this isn't real life, but it's hardly unreasonable for someone to at least consider a re-vote or at least proceed carefully. Personally I think it's a poor idea to return to democracy as the current module is situated as I think we will see malicious coup attempts.
Sure, a re-vote would be reasonable. But if there is not one, the will of the people WHO DID VOTE should be respected.
No matter, the people voted what they voted and it should be respected. The political elite mustn't behave like apsolutists - we should respect people's opinions.
Promise have been broken their is no two ways about it, Huey was elected CP on the back of these promise, he went to the people and got the backing to do it then BOTTLED it, that is the fact, he cares nothing about workers right it seems!
You have your chance for democracy - whether to fight or not is now your choice
A very interesting read.
May I ask why turnout was so low for such a fundamental decision that affects the country as a whole?
He just wrote a article, he didn't even mail people to spread the word, he got 100 comments on a 48 hr article which is very good it not like he got 20 votes, he has gone back on his word and without his word what is a man ?
that sort of man is a big ant or a goku jones
