 - Elections LOLz
5n4keyes
Well looks like the Election campaign has started early, earlier than ive ever seen it before to be honest! and ill be honest, it is nice seeing Victor being vocal about voting for him, given that last elections he said nothing, made a load of multis and won the elections, without even making a newspaper, impressive indeed.
I wont lie, I want Victor gone next election, beaten by a unified irish nation, however i am going to attempt to put some facts out there, which appear to be fogotten, and used as propaganda and scare tactics!
Hospitals, arent required until you are at war, during war they boost wellness, and generally keep you alive. During non war times, they are about as useful as guns. Given that Ireland is allies with all the people who could possibly attack, aswell as being part of a very large alliance, its unlikely we would see war any time soon, unless it was ireland who declared it.
Next the Economy and wages, Alot of crap is being said about this, pre August 1st, the average wage was 0.5 IEP per skill level, so within a week of play you would easily be on 1IEP. Food, Q2 was around 0.30IEP, Q4 around 0.80IEP, so as such, you could afford easily to feed yourself per day, and have spare change. Now prices have wobbled alot, why is this? well its nothing to do with the previous goverment, and alot of do with the changes made by Victor. With imports coming into the country, they were terribly overpriced, but some people moved to be closer to these prices, but always remaining cheaper. Also the price of gold was destroyed, meaning alot more IEP was needed per gold. Alot of companys base there prices on Gold so that they can afford to start new companys, or improve what they already have.
So who do people vote for?
Well in all honesty, vote for whoever you like, Pre Aug 1st Irishman will be voting for ImANewbie, and have plans to bring more votes in, Victor no doubt will pull something out of the hat, create a ton of multis, and voila.
The question is more, what kind of an Ireland do you want to live in?
Victors Ireland - Totally free market, anyone can import here, prices will vary, and theres a good chance it will take you 2 days wages to afford food. High costs for gold due to the importing and selling of higher priced goods.
Imanewbies Ireland - An Ireland that, altho was small, worked, always food, gifts, houses, and everything else thats needed at reasonable prices. An irish run market, where there was space to build your own company and not have to compete with imports. The backing of multiple allies, who have since shunted Victor.
So, make up your own mind, remember everyone will use propaganda, bend the truth, and spread fear, but ultimatly what it comes down to is what kinda ireland do you want to live?

\"Alot of companys base there prices on Gold so that they can afford to start new companys, or improve what they already have.\"
Why not base the salaries on gold, also? That would solve most of the issues the population has. Oh, I know, less profits for you greedy folks.
Well i think the main reason people tend to stick to the 0.5 IEP per skill level wage, is that wages heavily reflect on prices, if tomorrow someone dumped alot of say Q4 food onto the market at 0.80IEP, many food companys if they paid more wouldnt be able to compete. Where as, 0.80IEP was the average pre Aug 1st.
Playing with wages could kill a company, pay too much and sale prices plumet, and you reduce peoples wage again, they get annoyed and leave.
Complicated and confusing i know, but true it would make more sence to place wages on the price of gold, but at the moment the gold market is probably way too unstable to even consider it.
Aw, and a hefty increase in profits is just another unwanted side effect, while the workers barely manage to buy their daily bread and get to blame it on the new government.
Profits are nothing to do with it. Take pre Aug 1st prices.
Q2 food was 0.30, a mail sent out by pure group showed, that at optimal wellness, being at 100% it would cost around 0.26IEP, obviously with less wellness products cost a little more to produce. Note this is with the wage of 0.5IEP per skill level.
Now if say a company doubled there wages, it would say cost 0.52IEP to produce, so lets say we sell the products at 0.60IEP.
But really... theres been no physical change, products are double the price, but so are wages, so really no better off.
Now the fun part.
Now, someone imports food, at 0.50IEP, since food is cheaper to produce where its being imported from. Physically the food companys cant lower prices, as 0.56IEP is the Optimal limit,
Thus, why moving wages really has no real benifit, only negatives in a pre Aug 1st environment.
The environment has changed, we\'re past your beloved Aug 1st, Q2 food is now 0.81 IEP minimum, the salaries remain the same, the company owners profits skyrocket, the workers get paid less for the same amount of work/skill, they can aford less products from the market.
Atm I see no one importing products at competitive prices, so why not move the wages? I thought you liked stabilty, so maintain the pre Aug. 1st prices/wages ratio. It hurts no one but your unreasonable high profits.
If we move wages, and prices drop what happens?
Yes prices have moved, but alot of companys swap there IEP for Gold, in turn this means more companys and upgrades, even exports.
Companys who dont make a profit cant upgrade... Companys who cant upgrade, cant improve ireland.
This is outrageous. The company owners want to get the same amount of GOLD for their products but they want to pay the workers the old salaries?
@5n4, you\'ve helped us with your article and comments. Thank you. Now everything is CRYSTAL CLEAR. They want to have the same amount of GOLD. The problem is, if they pay smaller salaries (compared to GOLD), they will gain HIGHER amounts of GOLD.
And this is how, using us as a reason, the company owners get rich every day.
Thank you for your wonderful article, supporting Ireland Reborn.
Now the Q4 hospital:
You say: \"Hospitals, arent required until you are at war, during war they boost wellness, and generally keep you alive. During non war times, they are about as useful as guns. Given that Ireland is allies with all the people who could possibly attack, aswell as being part of a very large alliance, its unlikely we would see war any time soon, unless it was ireland who declared it.\"
Well now, the problem here is .. Ireland had the UK build a hospital for us. The old peaceful government contracted a hospital. And now we have to buy it. But someone (the opposition) does not want us (Ireland Reborn) to take the credit for bringing a Q4 hospital to Ireland. So they would rather brake the contract with the UK and they REFUSE to buy it while I am the President.
Can anyone believe that?
And now you are saying we don\'t need it in times of peace?
Maybe not, but Britain needs the money. We have to buy the hospital, or they will sell it to some other country.
Can you understand that? It\'s not that we want war, it\'s about a contract with the UK.
The rest of your article is propaganda. Against us and if favor of the corporations. Nothing about the people, I\'m afraid.
Ummm, Free market Victor...
The agreement was with the previous goverment.
Why not look for another source if the UK doesnt want to sell you a hospital?
The UK wants to sell the hospital. The mayor of Dublin (i think), won\'t accept it. That\'s kinda lame.
ummm?
You only have to look at 1 month ago, and now to see that the current goverment doesnt work in its current state.
If i didnt care about Ireland, i would of moved out, and wouldnt be looking to resolve the issues between both sides would I?
Suggestion, Restore the import taxes, and watch the market restore to normality, allow ireland to repair itself, allow gold to become something we may one day see, and maybe in a few weeks allow imports via Trade agreements in areas which the Irish economy is lacking.
Its a fully valid suggestion, which would be the perfect way to meet mid way with company owners, yet will you make the first steps?
@5n4 The UK DOES WANT. And they will.
The mayor of Dublin refuses to cooperate with us.
Well for what reason would he want to cooperate?
Find middle ground, begin restoring Ireland to a level which not everything is well.. messed up.
Take the first steps as the President in restoring Ireland to a level where its able to compete at an economic level with every other country in Ireland.
Because getting a Q4 hospital is a good thing for eIreland and Dublin? Shouldn\'t that be enough?
How many countries are in Ireland?
6,
How does a Q4 hospital benifit anyone currently? how does it help our economy, and how does it help Ireland get back onto its feet?
Great article.
Hey Jew, if money need not be wasted on something then why waste it??? All the pacts we have would give us enough time to aquire a hospital before we were attacked by any of our neighbors which is right now a slim to no possibility anyways. The only threat Ireland faces is from groups like Ireland Reborn and Victor Petrescus cronies.
Exactly,Victor should be focusing on fixing the economy, not worrying about this Q4 hospital, which currently,is useless
@5n4keyes: You don\'t care about the economy, cut the crap. Fix the damn wages and Ireland will be back on it\'s feet.
I thought the hospital was already paid for. A hospital is a good thing and sooner or later you\'ll need one. Why in hell not get it now if it\'s ready to be delivered? I don\'t get you people.
Cut the \"you are the threat\" act.
The economy is broken because of you guys and your lust for power.
Being someone who owns multiple companys in Ireland, i happen to care alot about the economy,
Wages are not the issue with Ireland, and if they were, then why isnt Victor contacting all company owners and trying to lay out a better pay structure for people in Ireland?
What i really care about is restoring this country to being a really amazing place to live with alot of power, strangely when i play games, i happen to want to win, and make the best of what ive got, using what i have got and improving it for the betterment of myself and the people around me.
Ive made a fully valid suggestion on how to restore Ireland, infact if i was in charge, its exactly the first thing i would do to sort things.
What i want is for Victor and IR to help ireland, restore ireland, work with the people to fix everything, ive personally not received anything off Victor as a means to restore Ireland nor make Ireland any better... Yet as a company owner i would of thought that would of been the first step to fixing the Economy would it not?
Jew if everyone starts to raise their wages then irelands inflation will only be worse and harder to fix when powers gained back by the irish people and the economy begins to be fixed.
@5n4 - it\'s not in my power to set wages.
You own companies, pay the same salaries (same costs) and sell more expensive products. We call that GREED, not economics.
@Ciaran, they are doing this on purpose, the company owners. None of the measures I took are responsible for the local owners selling more expensive products.
@Victor - If i sell my products at Cost, which is what i used to do, and someone imports at a lower price, what will you do then? If we lower our prices, imports will do the same, and eventually we cant afford to run our companys.
Victor you keep telling yourself that its the natives fault. That will get you far. You are the one who flooded the markets with foreign goods.
@5n4 - Has anyone DONE such a thing yet? I do not believe so. So please dont bring it up into the arguement, because it has already been voided. If they lower their prices, then you, as a company manager, can lower your wages and prices at the same time. Its not rocket science my friend. It just requires a little work on your end.
Why work with you guys when you lied and manipulated us? can you please answer that?
@Torene we already see it daily, being undercut, i think certainly my company, and the others fear going too low, to the point where we cant sell our products. So thats why were not selling our products are there old price, which was COST.
Ciaran...If you aren\'t willing to work with them to fix the situation, stop your whining about it. Honestly, just grow up and prove that YOU are working in Ireland\'s best interest.
I AM working in Irelands best interest by keeping the struggle fresh in everyones mind. You on the other hand have shown you can contribute nothing.
@5n4 - Ever heard of the phrase \"talk is cheap?\" So is text. Give me a screenshot or a copy and paste of the company and its sales. THEN ill believe your point. Why did prices RISE in the first place is also what id like to know if people were fearing being undercut. Wages sure as heck havnt changed so why would it cost you if you went to pre-victor Era prices?
If I were an eIrishman I\'d like to live in ImANewbie eIreland.
