[DoE] Press Release 12/19/2014

Day 2,586, 18:41 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

Hello Everyone,

After serving remarkably as as Secretary of Education through two and a half terms, MrCarey resigned his position due to RL issues. Such is the loss to this Department at his resignation that we can't find the words to describe it. MrCarey has been integral in the success of the DoE over the past two months and we can never be truly grateful for the effort and leadership he provided. We wish him all the best!

With MrCarey's resignation, President Deepchill moved ahead with finding a replacement. We are glad to announce that Blande has agreed to take over at the helm of the Department, and we are excited to have him.

Secretary Blande has spent the better part of his time since returning to the eWorld working in various sections of our government structure. From Party leadership roles to roles within our National Security Council, Department of Defense, and Department of State. He brings with him a trove of information and experience. We wish him all the best as he applies this knowledge to the DoE.

In his first meeting with the DoE staff after being appointed, Secretary Blande had this to say:

The Department of Education is an integral part of our national infrastructure. It is one of the best tools we have to help our citizens, especially the new ones, to navigate what can at times be the complex world we live in. I am proud to have a chance to head the august institution that is the Department of Education. My vision is of a Department that keeps abreast with the needs of the public, and through the use of finely designed programs; performs its duty of educating the citizens. I will be laying out a simple and concrete plan for the Department in the days to follow.

The Department of Education is proud and excited for what the future holds and we hope you are too. We look forward to serving you to the best of our abilities. Our next public release will contain the plan put forth by Secretary Blande.

Sincerely,
Department of Education
