Editor’s Note: Told ya I was serious. Ready for more shitty rhetoric and hyperbole?

“Shitty rhetoric and hyperbole.”

I guess I’ve heard that enough over the years of writing mostly inflammatory articles, so this week is nothing new. And, as always, when I target bullies, I get bullied right back. Again, par for the course.
**yawn** click. click.

I’ve been watching the Daily Income graph on the Country > Administration > Economy page with great interest since the 15%-18%-Max25% Increases.

screenshot at approx 21:30 Day 2997

It would seem, at a glance, as though the Experts may have been right after all-- lookit all that Big money coming in! Loose math-- every sixth day, a new $Million, which was the Experts’ projection of income. And on the Seventh Day, Congress pays the Budget.
Given the recent Reserves number given, if we don't blow any money on COs, and if half the population doesn't quit or leave the US or start tax dodging, then the first/lowest proposed trigger number could be reached by Daytona 500 weekend.

Don't take that as an enthusiastic endorsement of the Max Tax, but as cautious optimism.
Income is dropping each day since the two-day peak.. but three or five or eight days does not make a trend, and a trend does not equal long term reality.
So we'll see.

So, how ‘bout some of that fancy rhetoric and hyperbole I’m so famous for?

See those two days of Max Tax Max Income? Followed by two days of slightly decreasing income..
See if this scenario might make any sense to ya:
Max Tax. Some people decide to leave the country. They apply for citizenship elsewhere. Takes a day or two, sometimes three.
I know I lost my best employee on Day 2995, so his WAM and Work Tax are part of the slightly lower Day 2996 and every day from now on.
Max Tax. Some people who never otherwise would have, asked their employers to pay them $1 on the books, and gift them the cash.
Max Tax. Some people just stopped doing Work As Manager (WAM).
Max Tax. Some people quit their US based jobs and took jobs based out of Romania, or even Serbia.

Just rhetoric and hyperbole, pay it no mind. Even if you know, first hand, of some of these things happening, it’s just your mind playing tricks on you, and anecdotal evidence doesn’t count anyways.
I’ll look forward to reading your experiences in the Comments, below-- if you can squeeze them in between the hard core shoutdowns and ad homs.

Which brings me to my next little load of fancy rhetoric and hyperbole:

It’s the Attitude

I stopped counting how many times I was admonished in the comments to the last article, that a President doesn’t set taxes, Congress does. And what do I think I would be able to do to influence Congress, with “just” one President’s voice instead of one whole Congressman’s vote? And.. generally, just who the fudge do I think I am, to go wide and loud against those who know better than Americans how America should be run?

Well.. I’m George Armstrong Motherfreaking Custer, and I’ve always had the unmitigated gall to stand up to bullies. Back home they call it being uppity. I guess I just do not know my place.

One remark, made in the comments to Elanaconda’s article, particularly irked me:

Now, let’s skip rehashing yesterday’s argument about being bullsh*tted into supporting a Tax Hike for a War Emergency, then having it turn into a prolonged “rebuild the Reserves” Tax.. hey, it’s a done thing.

But the attitude, man...
It’s like, “so we lied to get what we wanted, so what?”
Really? Really??

That.. that attitude.. the whole “screw the people, we don’t care what they think or what they want” attitude. And making no bones about “by any means necessary,” either.

That whole thing about “it’s their own fault if they don’t have their Companies set up right, they deserve to be taxed into the ground.” Same goes for you 2-clickers, and anyone who doesn’t work in a commune, and anyone who WAMs-- you’re just Tax Cows.
That attitude.

Well, kids… we really don’t have to take it anymore. And if we all get up.. get up right now, go to the window, throw open the window and shout, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!”... it ain’t gonna make one damn bit of difference, ‘cause nobody’s listening.
And if they do hear you, they just. don’t. care.

Yeah, that attitude.

Well, I hear you, and I care.
This President’s voice in Congress will be your voice.
This President’s voice in the media will be heard, because I hear you.

Custer’s Cabinet

Wait.. the music ran out.
Lalo Schifrin wrote both the soundtrack for Cool Hand Luke and the original Mission Impossible theme!
Okay, now we can continue...

As I said in my previous article, I hope to keep most many of the current Department heads, and their teams, on the job.

People like Hale26 at Civilian Affairs, and Jaden A. at Media.. why mess with people who are really rockin’ the job?
NSC Co-Chairmen The Dark Knight and Tyler Bubblar? Just fine, I’m sure. I don’t know The Dark Knight, but I’ve worked with Tyler, and I’m sure there’s nothing about how they’re doing the job that I’d require done differently. I’ll let ‘em know if we have a problem.

Secretary of Defense: Hale Kane/patar333 It’s a matter of continuity. We’ll have a couple meetings in our first few days of the new term. If I like what's happening, then rock on. If I don’t, then we’ll make adjustments in either the job being done or in the people doing it.

Mass resignations? I hope not, but, you know, it’s an employer’s market.

And, yeah, some personnel changes..

VP: Gnilraps I’ve heard your objections, and to some degree I agree, but.. I’ll be the President, not him. I have plenty of work for him to do, so he won’t have time to do my job.

Chief of Staff: Rainy Sunday We’ve butted heads a bit in Congress, but that don’t take nothin’ away from the highest respect I have for her. She’s been CoS before, she kicks ass, she’s the only person I even think of when I think Chief of Staff.

Secretary of State: Wild Owl Wow, could there be anyone better suited and more experienced for the job? And, no, this does not mean “The Wild Owl Doctrine” will be in force, it means Wild Owl will be the driving force in redeveloping America’s Doctrine.

Secretary of Treasury: Supernana Quite simply, I like his math and projections better. He’s not clinging to power. He hasn’t been cramming any load of crap down anyone’s throat for years. He’ll put together a team who can set forth a plan to put us all back to work, and present real and reasonable Tax Proposals to Congress.

And, new..

Department of Vox Pop: Vox Pop, or vox populii, is an interview with members of the public. Vox populi is a Latin phrase that literally means "voice of the people".
Through personal interviews, town hall meetings and polls, the Custer Administration will hear what America has to say.
I haven’t decided yet who’s gonna head this up. Maybe someone I’ve worked with in Media. Maybe a former President. I’ll work on it.

A good new CEO doesn’t automatically trash the whole top level of management, He brings in a few key people, and learns how best to work with the rest while putting his own brand on the company.

eAmerica, Inc.
CEO: George Armstrong Custer
Board of Directors: A Great Cabinet
Majority Stockholders: You

So, look, here’s the plan.
February can come and go and look like so many past months of.. well..
Or we can start laying some foundation for our future.
We can start rebuilding our government into one that listens to you, and strives to make this country a sum total of its people, not its people a merely sum total of revenues.

We’ll look at our current stagnation, and find a balance between “playing it safe” and “breaking the bank.” Real War is supposed to stimulate the Economy, so you can produce Food and Weapons for a profit, because they’ll be needed to fight a good war. War needs people to Work as many times a day as they can-- yes, to pay Taxes, but primarily to be able to buy more and hire more and produce more.

We’ll look at our place in the world’s power game, and if we need to do a little bit of shuffling.. or a lot.. then we will. Wild Owl won’t be working on peace at the price of boredom, he’ll be exploring ways to make enough War and enough Peace so we’ll actually have a game to play again.

Fixing what’s been so wrong for so long don’t come fast, or easy. You know it don’t come easy.
But it’s got to start somewhere.
It can start now, if you want it to.
