[CP] The exile government

Day 3,002, 04:33 Published in Denmark Denmark by Ushlau

Dear eDanes

Thanks for once again electing me as country president. Or perhaps Country President is not the right term in these for our country times of hardship.

I will in the following update you on some of the consequences of Libertas coup on the ongoing programs in eDenmark and a bit on the situation with eGermany. However first the "Government".

The leadership of the eDanish Resistance:

Leader of resistance: Ushlau
vLeader: None
MoFA of resistance: Stente
MoF: Hr. Bubbi
MoI: Kristian Klausen
Fun & Games: Cemba
Eternal Queen of eDenmark: Maine coon

Public enemy nr 1 and repulsed by all eDanes: Libertas

Though this is the leadership of eDenmark, please keep in mind the intended distribution of political power in eDanmark when no one is being an ass.

A few consequences of the coup of Libertas:
An obvious consequence is that we have lost all control with the management of the country. Libertas controls the law making, the handing out of citizenships as well as ecomomy of eDenmark. As the economy of eDenmark is tiny it is of limited importance. The law making and handing out of citizenships is a bigger concern and we can only hope that Libertas contains a fraction of the person we once considered a friend.

Further a promising scheme administrated by None to make money on the money market has been stopped as we no longer have exclusive access to the government organisation used for the purpose.

Finally I had hoped that we could make a few reforms to ensure better economy for players below a certain threshold as well as increase their direct involvement in government affairs – we need new blod – however that will probably have to be put on hold due to other pressing matters…

The Danish-German Union:
The Union has never been in a worse state than now. While it is my believe that the Union is still very much supported by the common eDane and eGerman, the governments of the two countries has messed up.

In a series of articles I tried to revive the Union a bit and make people remember what it was truly about – loyality and friendship – however lets just say that not all in the eGerman government was happy about my writtings so I stopped after 3 articles.

The conclusion must be that Ilphen does have a point – communication is a problem. I obvious don’t agree with him on why it is a problem but it leaves eDenmark with only one action plan if we intend to give the Union a last go.
As the eGerman government seem to complain about that eDanish government want to be pretty well informed about what is going on – and eGermany is not interested in creating a true unionen where things are discussed and decided in a common Union forum – the eDanish government will accept not to be informed. This obviously mean that while we until recently has allowed eGermany to pretty single handled form the foreign policy of the Union – and hence of eDenmark – this will be changed. eGermany has been excellent advisors through the years and I have personally followed their lead in many situation when negotiating (or choosing not to negotiate) with foreign states. eDenmark have now, as encouraged by the eGerman government, for some time had its own foreign policy. Whether this will turn out to be a problem only time will tell, but I expect eGermany to respect eDenmarks right to make its own decision and deals as long as we ofc still respect the text and the spirit in the Union treaty.

Unless we have a sudden breakthrough in the Danish/German relations, I expect the communication with the eGerman government in the following month only will be related to the short term defence of the union borders.
