The Past Best Friends-2
Vijayakrishna
Normally I don’t continue my articles; sequels are somehow not appealing to me and only reason for this is a friend’s request to continue it.
Please do comment if u like my post or not, it is really encouraging, truly
He opened the contacts, scrolled to her name, his finger stopped short of pressing call. Her words from few years back flashed in his head.
“Your ways are useless, they will take you nowhere and you will remain looser like you are now!”
They were best pals from a long time, she was downright practical and he was more of an unconventionalist. Sometimes it so happens that the attraction of opposite ideologies bring people together in a rather mysterious ways.
She would bring sanity to his style of adventure and thrill seeking life and he would destabilise her perfectly planned world but both were curiously comfortable with each other company.
All that changed that day when despite her urging him to tame himself and get through an interview, he did not make it. All she wished was his betterment and that job would enable them to work together.

His thoughts were interrupted by a phone call, a telemarketing call like it happens to many of us when busy. He cut the call with all the force he could and then he saw a message, it was from her.
‘So she managed to get my number’
‘If you are free, can we meet today at 4?’ the content of message read.
He was not sure if he really likes to meet her who does not understand him.

She was sitting there for about 30 minutes, the second cup of coffee is about to run out, it was still 15 minutes to 4.
She took out her phone, kept it back and took it out again for what might be 10th time in last 5 minutes but this time, it started ringing, she attended
“Hello” she spoke nervously.
The voice on the call says… “Ah, well I can’t meet you at 4. You didn’t tell me where to meet “
