The New Quizera, Round 3

Day 2,392, 03:09 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ser Fartsalot

In Round 2, the question was:

What is the strength of lines of the epic English poem?

The correct answer is 35, so the winner is Paul Tyndale. He guessed 30 and will get 2000GBP and 1 point in the overall score. 500GBP goes to Robin Redcap (who also guessed 30), while 20Q7 tanks go to Tiger Style (who guessed 22). Additionally, I'll give 50Q7 tanks for the most accurate answer of a non-member of New Era and that is MarkTD (16).

Wondering how to get to the right answer?

By searching for a profile with an ID 3812, which corresponds to the number of lines of the epic English poem Beowulf, you will find a player with the strength of 35.

If this was hard, the clues should have made things easier:

The first clue was pointing out that you should search for a person. The other clues state😛

"To save the people of Geats and defeat the beast, a recruit had been chosen - he is long since deceased."

"The hero in question
is a man without a face, whether he is just fiction, is not important for this race."

"The strength of our recruit is the number you should seek, his resting place is Spain where he'd lived for a week."

"Carlos Gonzales is the recruit who's profile you must find
Under the number of poem lines
are his strength and answer combined."

In Round 3, all New Era members participating will get 10 Q7 tanks. Additionally, the players will get:

- 2000 GBP for the first place (and 1 point in overall score)
- 500 GBP for the second place
- additional 20 Q7 tanks for third place

At the end of each month, the player with most points (in that month) will get additional 50 gold.

At the end of the year, the player with most points will get additional 250 gold.

Also, players who are not in New Era are invited to join the game. The best answer will be rewarded with 50Q7 tanks.

The question for this round is connected with our party friend Alex Popovic. You see... Alex went on a RL vacation to Greece. However, being restless as he always is, he couldn't make it without changing his mind and switching several different charter planes and boats in one day. He ended up on an island, who knows where, and his smart-phone battery went out! 🙁 🙁 🙁

We need your help to find him. The future of eUK depends on it!

The last data his phone submitted was a GPS of his current location and a message that he's on an island in Greece.

The question you need to answer in Round 3 is:

"What is the name of the island Alex is stranded on?"

The answer is a name. The player who enters the name of an island closest to the correct one will be the winner. You're allowed to change your answer but only your last answer will count. If your last answer is deleted, it will count as you didn't answer (unless you enter a new one). I will not reveal the right answer until the next New Quizera article next week. In the mean time, I will post clues each day at 7pm GMT.

Clue No 1:

The satellite data show that the last pings of Alex's smart phone were detected in southern Greece, on north-east coast of one island. The investigators are yet to determine which island that is and say they will need 4 days to do so.

Clue No 2:

eRepublik admins confirmed to the investigators that someone tried to register nickname AlexPopovic this morning in the region of Crete, eGreece. However, the email "alex4cp@vote" was invalid.

Clue No 3:

The island names mean both golden and donkey... literally.
