The Great British Dictator Situation

So the eUK has been taken over by a dictatorship to keep democracy so th... wait what?

Is it just me or does this make zero sense? We have been told by the select few who decided to launch the military coup, that it must be done so we can continue to have democracy, despite elected officials now having no power.

Not only this, but the whole thing was decided undemocratically, citizens of eUK nor congress got a say or a vote on the matter.

Yes, because telling people what to do is a "discussion".

We weren't even told what was going to happen before it actually even happened, despite full information about the new mechanic being available for over a day and information that the change was going to come for weeks.

And now Ser Fartsalot wants to continue to keep a dictator in power (providing that the current rules over citizenship stay the same, but I doubt it will change).

First off, this makes the whole point of the coup void, as after 10 days, anyone is welcome to take the country for themselves. It would be at a cost of an extra 200k yes, but for someone who was that intent to take our country, it would not matter. Instead, this action only makes us look scared and weak, making us, in my opinion, an even greater target.

Secondly, Ser Fartsalot has said that the elected CP will be made dictator. The issue with this is, there is no way to enforce it. Unless someone was willing to spend 400,000cc to remove the dictator, a CP could refuse to step down and stay as the dictator. And considering he/she will be the only one with control of the country's money, it would have to be privately funded.

But actually, at the end of this article http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/fear-not-the-dictaker-is-here-to-save-us--2501077/1/20 , we see the true reason for the dictatorship, to keep people like Ser Fartsalot in power, by refusing legally elected country presidents and congress members that Ser Fartalot doesn't like, power in the country.

I would guess this also includes all citizens that Ser Fartalot has placed on his "blacklist", which he dictates and can add players without any reason or evidence of why they are a threat to the country.

Some may think that this is the only option we have to stop a foreign coup. But 200,000cc could pay for a lot of weapons, combat orders and foreign fighters to defend from a coup instead. Even if it had costed more to defend, if we successfully managed to pull it off, it would make others think twice before trying to take over us, instead of making us look weak. And I'm sure we could pay for more friends to help us, as we've seen already this month, the government is happy to pay 1,000cc a day to be "friends" with Norway.

What happened to the eUK giving our enemies an ass-kicking and watching them running off back home?

To be honest, I find this whole thing kind of ironic, a coup started to keep foreigners from power while a foreigner runs the country...
Have a good day,

VG

PS: Anyone that criticises me with evidence and facts will be placed on my blacklist where you will no longer be able to run for congress or CP.
