The Cost of Freedom

Day 2,783, 07:29 Published in Philippines USA by jesuitfriar

Some of us may have already knew or noticed the unbecoming scenario of Columbian incursion at the very heart of our eRepublic - the Central and Southern ePhilippines. This is something that has persisted for a long time, yes even predates the existence of this very newspaper. And what is more amiss in all of that? eFilipino freedom fighters seems to have taken a liking on the prevailing condition of things. Yes, they have taken pride among themselves, some of them even flaunting their numerous accolades of achievements and awards for various global endeavors. It is not something bad to show how far someone have gone in this life, but it is also not something good to go on parading one's achievement across the globe when patriotic ecitizen of the New World knows how appalling is the state of things in your own country.

It is this very reason that the first issue of Vox Republica is contemplated, that is, to bring closer to the attention of every "patriot" of ePhilippines the urgency of liberating our lands. For what is the meaning of those "Patriot medals" and other accolades each of us fighters display in our profile, every badges, every achievement proclaiming glory and patriotism, when we know very well in our times that our lands are no longer mine.

Awake, my comrades! We enjoin the support of every ecitizen of this country, ePhilippines to hear the clarion and take his/her deeds for the noblest cause. For what is nobler than seeing your country free and protected.

For those who have already shed their sweat and every tangible effort for this cause, long even before this call, we SALUTE you! You have already proven you mettle not just in battle. You are our rallying point. And for all the friendly elements that have joined our ranks, the ePhilippines is indebted to you. We will see to it that favours will be returned in due time.

It is no longer a time of indefference. No longer a time for indecision. We must act towards a free ePhilippines.

Viva la Republica!
Viva la vox republica!

Hear! hear!
