The Case for the Defence ... Part One

The Case for the Defence ... Part One

As this article is essentially the case for the Prosecution, I will cross-examine the evidence given and present further evidence in my defence. As I was to be MoFA, I was told not to respond, however that position became untenable due to the above article, so I resigned. I've put "Part One" in case the co-accused would like to challenge the evidence put by the self-appointed Judge/Jury/Executioner themselves.

First image .. allegedly "how it all began"

It's not actually "how it all began" .. that was SerF sniping in the congress PM thread from 25/10 trying to get me to lose my cool and resign as MoHA .. successfully, when you look at the second image given as evidence:

Apparently the adage "no screenshot, it didn't happen" applies to something that happened around a year ago. Memory isn't good enough evidence, so, yeah, I discussed this with Aleks and an extract was supplied as evidence of harrasment in the third image:

And, yes, we discussed the "roleplay" articles at length, as given by the sixth image:

Notice Aleks suggests he'll delete the conversations so neither of us will "be punished" - something SerF doesn't pick up on I see. So why weren't the conversations deleted? To paraphrase a line from Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" - but SerF says Aleks is the "nicest man in eRepublik" I'll leave the reader to make any connotation here.

And to answer SerF's claim I asked to be PM in the seventh image:

Notice Aleks writes "iAdastros is a bit innactive and I"ll consider to kick him out of cabinet too, although haven" much choice for Prime Minister spot.If you are interested OK than or if you have some other name than it"s OK too." (sic) So Aleks asked me, not the other way around, no? Didn't pick that up, did you SerF? And I actually declined it, you missed that too!

Now SerF says he asked Aleks for the screenshots of these "deleted" pm thread- but SerF says Aleks is the "nicest man in eRepublik" so why would the "nicest man in eRepublik" write one thing then hand over damning evidence? Either SerF is lying about his source or Aleks isn't the "nicest man in eRepublik"?

Let's take the second part as given, so how did SerF get the screenshots? Aleks revealed to me that he thought he'd been hacked and claims not to have been online when "he" replied to comments here:

Strange, huh?

Even stranger, when a claim that Aleks posted the Sirius HQ password in IRC:

So, we have someone hacking Aleks account & purporting to be him in IRC and leaking Sirius' logs too boot! Wonder where this is heading, eh?

but before I get to that, i wonder if SerF know's what the "nicest man in eRepublik" had to say about him where the fifth image continues:

Oops! Sadly the article denouncing the Macedonian MoD didn't cause more than a storm in a tea-cup. If they knew the article had been written by a RL Serb, I kept my mouth shut on that, maybe things would've blown up.

And finally, Aleks points a tentative finger:

Notice, this PM thread was started by Aleks. if I was harassing him, would he start a new conversation?

And to clear things up reagrding the charge I made against Aleks' "Sekula" account (in case there are people out there who haven't made any connection, considering the difference in persona between the two), here's how Aleks remembers things:

And after reading that, and recalling the messages i recieved from a number of players regarding "Sekula", I responded with:

It's a clear case of a different point of view of the events & not being told the full story. Sekula's English is getting better, but I still think the "nicest man in eRepuplik" could do with using Google Translate once in a while.

The case for the Defence rests, over to the population of eRepublik to be the Jury. SerF, you've had your say, so do not comment (or Wayne or iAdastros for that matter).
