June Congress Election
The 187th Congress was elected on the 25th of June. With the results certified after day change on the 26th, sign-in was started on Discord the morning of the 27th. After 48-hours the 23 members had signed in making the quorum for this session 12.
187th Congress Speaker Election
On July 2, nominations for Speaker of the House were opened. Only one candidate qualified for election and was elected by acclamation.
As my last act as Speaker of the House, I publish this article and offer my personal congratulations to our new Speaker.
