Sydney Hostage Situtation
pr3zzyy
Hey Guys, I'm currently on holiday and wasn't planning on writing any articles till i return (cheeky shout, massive giveaway coming for Christmas).
But I felt i needed to make this short article concerning the ongoing hostage 'terrorist' situation in Sydney CBD.
My heart and prayers go out to all the victims and their families, and any one else that is suffering because of this.
All we can do is stay hopeful and wish for the best.
Please comment with your thoughts.
For every vote this article receives i will give away 15CC split evenly over three random commenters in honor of the current estimated amount of hostages.
So chain shout, vote, comment, and subscribe.

too bad
it's real life
doesn't count in erep
no one cares what happens in real life
some do care about what happens in RL, but eRep is not really the forum to discuss it, plus to me offering '15cc' for the best comment is pretty wrong.... IMO
Agreed
I never said best comment... I said random....
IMO asking for rewarding votes with money on a topic like this is wrong. But that is just my opinion.
A sniper watched a hostage get shot so i hear.
Whats wrong with that story? Single gunman and a sniper watches!
Also why was the SAS there? So our best was called out for 1 person?
I thought our military did not get involved in police matters?
The local news channels were able to video record the guy during this! I mean come on.
If i was robbing a bank and stood visible the cops would shoot me in a second. Why so different in this situation i dunno... Smells fishy to me.
ps i dont care if its erepublic or not. I will still comment as i feel.
Considering we dont have all the facts it is hard for us to comment. Now the event is over, we know it was one person. At the time, did they know it was one gunman? did they know if his backpack had explosives or not?
I sorta have faith in the fact that the police, negotiators and the Forces are trained and know what they are doing. In regards to the military being involved, if it was the Commando's or the SAS, they are trained and used in hostage situations, hell even the ADG's are.
Hostages come out early. They would have notified the cops of a single gunman. Hostages were using there mobile devices to contact loved ones. Again they would have been told a single gunman. Videos were sent to the press during the day proving a single gunman. Hell it was done in such a way that almost everyone could see it was a single gunman.
As for the SAS. Again i thought they did not get involved in police matters.
I am not an expert, but taking a single shot through a window at a moving target is a hard thing to do. The fact they were unsure of what was in his bag, the fact he was well known to the police, the fact that they managed to talk to him for that long. They would have procedure's to follow and they know what they are doing. And yes the sad fact is 3 people are dead, this is something that will play on their minds.
In regards to SAS (I thought it was the Commandos who went in and not the SAS), they have always been trained and available for use in a domestic scene if the need warrants it. Like with the Sydney Olympics, the military was the main force that would of been called on for high risk jobs.
What did i tell you Rusty D. He was a refugee from Iran who could not fit into Western society.
There is a co spiritual theory going around that he this was his initiation i to ISIS or some shit, and he didn't want to kill them until he got their flag to do it under...
Icetek when you said that his details hadn't been released. He was also out on bail for taking part in his ex wifes murder, plus quite a few other charges. That doesn't really make it an 'immigration' issue that you were saying it was.
Of corse it does, you just said it your self, he was a criminal who did NOT get deported to begin with.
And when i said that i was making a point that i was right all along. Did i not say he was probably some refugee from the middle east? And what do you know, he is.
he was on bail awaiting trial for serious crimes, so for him to be able to walk the streets is a problem of our court system, not immigration. How many people immigrate into this country and what small percentage commit crimes.
Your joking right? In Sydney alone over 40% of all Lebo refugees have a criminal record. Every asian you come across makes meth or sells it and is on some sort of center link welfare.
I dunno what world you live in, but Sydney is just the start of a hostile takeover.
Yep it was in Sydney that these 'lebo/asians' walked into an airport and bashed a man to death with a pole... oh sorry it was a Caucasian bikie gang, but hey lets blame all the lebo's and Asians for every crime in Sydney.
Plus your comment that every Asian in Sydney makes or sells meth and are on welfare... f me, if that is your train of thought you must have your head so far up your fascist right wing arse it is not funny. Do me a favour an open your eyes up to the world beyond your 'white power' beliefs.
You really need to read some books on social experement studys and society interactions. Get off your high moral horse, you dont know jack shit but you speak like a immigrant. These scumbags run from there scum country just to infest others and try to force there way of life on others.
Quit acting like your Mother Teresa cuz son u aint. Quit being in denial and back up your claims with actual fact, quit preaching like the bible. Are you arab yourself?
Hahaha, thanks for the laugh. No I am actually Australian born and bred, but unlike you, I have had a chance to see the world and actually understand it. I have had the chance to live overseas, to work overseas and have friends from all walks of life. I have a double degree in Political Science and History. So you might say I have actually opened up my eyes to reality and not a narrow minded view.
Narrow mind eh. What qualifications do you have knowing the middle east yet pilice tactics? You act like you know it all but i bet you never even held a gun in your life. You being Australian bred have you even traveled anywhere or just sat at home pretending to be some brainiac?
Dude your bullshit can be seen right between the lines, your just another one online who will go out of his way acting like he knows the answer to life. I hope you ate a teenager for your sake, would explain why you have no friends in real life. Annoying know it all.
I know that I shouldn't continue, as this has moved way from a message of remembrance of two people who died, but this is too much fun...
What qualifications I have... Pol Sci and History do tend to cover the Mid East a fair bit
Have I ever held a gun... Yes, I served in RAAF as an ADG.
Have I traveled anywhere... Yes, as I said as above, but just so you know I have worked overseas (US, Mid East, Africa), lived overseas (4 Countries in Asia) and holiday overseas (all over).
No I am not a teenager, yes I do have RL friends, and No I am not a brainy-ac know it all, just someone who doesn't like reading racist bigotry sprouted by someone like you.
@Rusty.
Yea i hear ya man but a single shot from a HIGHLY TRAINED SNIPER has to be a better option than throwing in flash bangs and a heap of guys running in right?
I mean the press was able to get videos of him lol. Im pretty sure a sniper could have taken a shot many many many times.
I mean this is EXACTLY what snipers are trained to do. Take out single targets with precision.
Perhaps....... and im just saying perhaps this was the way it was supposed to turn out man.
Imagine i tried to rob a bank and got caught inside.
Snipers would not hesitate to take a shot.
Hell what if i pointed a knife to a cop on the street? He would surely shoot the shit out of me.
Something is up here guys.
Seems like this was played out for all to see, and i fear intentionally.
From my understanding (due to reports coming out now), they were forced to rush in. From what I have read, he was falling asleep and the manager jumped him, around the same time, more people were running out. That caused the shots to be fired, hence the heavy entry by the police/commandos.
I just prefer to wait until all the facts come out before people start pointing fingers or blame. Yes a clean sniper shot would of worked in hindsight (but it depends on if he had a deadman trigger or explosives), yes it has come out he was a refuge, but it is not a immigration issue (not you Damink, another post).
I am in agreeance with you, in the hope it wasn't played out for all to see for a political reason or for another reason, but as we have seen in the past MH17 etc, some people/groups will do that.
I have no idea how you keep saying its not a immigration issue, he was on Common Wealths and Americas "radar" and Australia did nothing. When Abbott said no to the boats, a bunch of you moaned and cried foul. Now that same group is no where to be heard from.
These arabs have no respect unless its in there self interests. Now before you go calling me racist and such there are good people, yes i agree. But is Australia had any balls and or intelligence they should make it clear that once you come in as a refugee or even if you enter legally you should be on a 5 year probation period where if you fu*k up, your gone.
He had been in Oz for years. So any one who comes into this country as a refugee should be on this probation period? for how long? what if they arrive on a plane, is it the same? Do me a favour an wake up to the reality of life.
And it isn't just Arabs who commit crimes, and yes I will call you a racist, since your the one who openly states 'Arabs'. You could be a criminal no matter where you come from or your background.
Just to throw another variable here if i may.
They did do a dummy run of this event about a year ago!
Same location and a similar situation. Check youtube.
"BUSTED? Drill Held At Same Exact Lindt Cafe Location In Sydney Last Year! FALSE FLAG ALERT!"
Hate to say it but we have been played the fools yet again.
False flag, or a drill at a high profile target.... Martin Place holds: "the Reserve Bank, several other major financial institutions, luxury stores, a television network, a busy Australia Post outlet and even an underground railway station. The Cenotaph (war memorial), sculptures, fountains and seating complete this valued public space." It tends to make a better statement then Cabramatta McDonalds....
I know it seems suss, but no matter which angle you look at things, stuff is suss. Eg. GoM oil spill... A Halliburton company won the contract to clean it up with a chemical made by BP....
Shut the f. up... like everyone..
People died
Have empathy.. Think as if you were one of them, one of each and everyone within a KM of that place, that whole time. Everyone involved, even passively or through personal connection and even death.
It is a tragedy for all of them first.
Mourn it and respect it as that, first of all.
and everything else you bring into the conversion after that is using this event as a 'tool'.....
Yes so we are told. Me personally i like to investigate things a little further before i just agree with what people say. Call me a skeptic. Still i would rather be that than a blind sheep right WyvernJack?
but you're wrong.... it makes you a f#wit, convinced that world is one thing you can judge upon, as you stand separate from it... assumptions that everyone else is a sheep so you can see yourself a wolf... i don't doubt your theory, in fact i didn't even bother to think about it or register it in my brain as i read cause i don't care for opinion... any theorising of this magnitude falls apart once you remember people have brains just like yours and are individuals just like you... not a hive brain of evil... just your perception of evil as you stare at the rain drops and make patterns.... at the end of the day consider the risk vs reward if the truth you fear is there is real and exposed... or just simply imagine the knee jerk reaction when the doctors taps your knee, but only if you had one eye closed, didn't feel the tap, only saw your foot kick out without the knowledge of what happened, why that reaction occurs, who cause that effect to start... you'd assumed 3rd party, you'd doubt self (exchange self for world/situation/environment/source of info etc for metaphor to RL)... if you work out logically with comparisons and understanding it; like onions make you cry, peanuts make your throat close up etc, you realise it could be something so tame and in within reason.. ei: social oppression, despair, mental weakness, Herostratus.... But fear and doubt give so much hope to the outliers of possibility, that have too many variables to be all that possible in reality.. and to false flag theories in most cases, wouldn't there be an easier way for the same result without the risk, i've never seen a government do anything perfect, why do they only succeed in that with evil?
sidenote: i hate typing why do i ever post anything, people just say stuff back... its like talking in real life... such a hassle, i need to move to a country full mute people with no hands, i'd so be happy.. I'd yell at everyone and laugh all day.... its horrible but just a little funny too
my sincere condolence to australian people
as i know he had variety of crime records in iran then he scaped to malaysia.
Interpol was after him instead so he traveled to australia as a refugee
Voted, sad day and more to come judging by today's events.
let's hope Aussie learns from this, even though it had to be the hard way..
so much for liberal left humanitarian ideas, clemency to asylum seekers and the lot..
there is real subversion and real threats, time we got to deal with it
@WyvernJack.
Life has taught me one thing if nothing else. People that get all upset and personal when your opinion varies from there's often is a signal. An important signal. I wont elaborate on that any more.
Opinions are just that. Opinions.
In my opinion skinny girls are hot.
Others think larger woman are hot.
Are either of us wrong?
It does appear to me however you are the all knowing, and if ANYONE has an opinion contrary to yours there instantly fuckwits or have no empathy.
More power to ya.
I simply said i dont believe something because someone tells me to.
Thats may well be ok for you, just not for me. I like to investigate and make my decisions based on what i have decided rather that what a tv channel has. Thus the sheep wording i used earlier.
Sorry for the late reply. I dont really care about this game anymore and find myself not getting online as much.
(so much more to do IRL anyways)
