They are not dump like a Balkan people, they knew if they leave UK, Scotland will become satellite country without any influence on global politics like they HAVE in mighty UK.

They are ruled by the English and Scots have plenty of oil reserves they'll be fine alone maybe even better after few years.

if you dont want to give your oil you end up like Libya and many other scenarios we had in past 🙂

Scotland isn't Lybia m8 they have a gr8 lobby in USA a lot of 'em are from Scottish descent and they are from North West Europe. Americans will never do the same there.

These Americans who come from the Scotland will gladly take for themselves that oil and in the end Scotland will have nothing or even a smaller share than it would have in the UK.

They have problems with being part of the UK, but they would have more problems on their own.
When you have a broken tool in a toolbox, you try to replace that tool, you don't throw the whole toolbox and try to find a new one

Тhe idea of the yes movement was just to manage their own affairs,but to remain open to the rest of Britain and remain in EU. However that was unrealistic, IMO the relatively recent oil field findings were just an instigator.
I don't think they are cutting the brunch they're sitting on. If the income of Scotland taxes is mostly used elsewhere they're better off alone.

Scottish independence would have mean falling apart of the western world, str8 away Catalonia, Bascia and even Texas would ask for their independence...However, rigged or fair, they remained in the UK and it has nothing to do with us the stupid slavic people.

Most English i know wanted Scottish independence, we pay more in than what the UK tax payers get back, let them fly solo and lets watch them beg for EU handouts like Ireland in a few years. The Jocks already get a better standard of rights than the English do in the UK so **** em'

Ha didn't know Englishmen feel like that, I was following the British media and all of the media was inclined towards the no thanks campaign.

I'm English myself, i socialise and work with a majority who are English. I'm not a nationalist...couldn't care less myself as long as my taxes are low and my wages bulk up my wallet. But yeah, the media do not find discussing anything English comfortable. The English on a whole want the same things Scotland gets...their own assembly. We get ruled by Westminster only where Scottish MP's have a say over English matters but not the other way around. The English want free care home places for the elderly as Scotland gets thanks to the UK taxpayer. people in England, Wales and Ireland have to sell their homes to afford residential care...Scotland get it for free...Pleasing Scotland will split the union more than Scottish Independence ever will.

As i said, they want it, give it them. Their own Government structure, their own currency, their own debts, their own EU bailouts...cut all ties and let them enjoy their independence and for me make sure Scottish people getting health care in England are taxed, same with the education system.

I think Cameron said that the measures for Scotland will be granted for all the other countries in the union. We will see it's not certain if the government can deliver what Scots want/need.
