Order in the Chaos: War with Belgium

Day 2,586, 03:07 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Spir Tus

This time a very short article, because I don't have time right now to write a full article. Usually I explain a debate or someting weird to you and with the help of the community and the replies we will have an overview of this phenomenon. This time it's different because I don't know anything about the war with Belgium. This 'article' is written out of pure frustration.

Apparently, we have a war with Belgium. I have read some other fun articles and frustration articles about the war the last couple of days, but still no official statement of the government, while the war has already begun.

A couple of days ago the Belgium Congress has voted for the Netherlands as Natural Enemy. Eventually, we did the same thing, as well as signing two Mutual Protection Pacts with Chile and Poland. Noone would have know this, except the congress and government members. The government didn't explain anything about this, only some congress members were talking about this in public. That's the reason I know about this war, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed at all.

Why are we in war with Belgium? Is it a Training War? I don't know. Maybe. There are some people who say it is, but also people who say it isn't. According to the voting, congress agrees with the war plans of the government. What is the meaning of this war? Do we have to fight hard, is there something at stake? Maybe. Some people say there is a threat of losing regions, so losing congress seats in the upcoming congress elections.

In the meantime the national MU has been informed, and has given instructions to their soldiers for this war. It's nice we have instructions, but I'm not a robot and I want to know why we are fighting our ally.

It is one of the most important jobs of the government to inform people. Especially those who don't know anything about everything, because they aren't in congress or the government themselves. There is a lot of difference between being in an official function and being just a citizen. The availability of the information is completely different. In my opinion, government should keep this in mind.

The question is, who failed in the provision of information? I don't know exactly. We didn't see anything from MoD/MoA, or the CP or anything about the government. Also the most congress members didn't provide the community with information. The latter is maybe caused by the fact the information about the war is classified and it's forbidden for CM's to talk about classified information outside the secret Congress area.
