My First Steps in the eUK - Musings of a youngling!

My first taste of Erepublik was way back in the end of 2008. A friend had been playing and invited me to join and I think I lasted less than a week. I was confronted with the type of game and community that I had never before experienced and initially all I could see was what appeared to be cliques and a whole lot of buttons and tabs I had no idea how to use.

A few days ago I got a random email from Erepublik saying someone had declared war on the UK and I thought to myself lets go have a look and I it led me to here with a nice new shiny account.

This time around I stumbled into a couple of tutorial like missions and fumbled around with the different buttons looking to see what it all done and although I am still not entirely sure what I am doing I have to say that its the idea of playing Erepublik and what it lets you accomplish is definitely going to keep me sticking around.

After I stumbled around I decided to join a MU by clicking the first one I saw which I have since changed and the same with a political party. To start with I was looking for manifesto's and the such but wasn't sure where to find any and in the end picked one who seemed aligned to what I was looking for.

I then stumbled across these pages;
Kravenn's Grocery
eBrit University
NHS
These where game changers for me as they gave my fumbling direction and taught me what I needed to know to start building my new place here in the UK so I thought they deserved a special mention.

Now I am by no means done learning I feel as though I have barely even scratched the basics of the game but I am looking forward to learning and finding out a lot more and hopefully creating my own place.

So here's to the months of training and saving that remain ahead of me before I am even able to start getting my name out there. I look forward to fighting alongside of all of you on the battlefield and hopefully one day in the political arena too.

This is me signing off a lousy first article and I would appreciate some people subscribing to me and adding me as a friend for my NHS tasks!

Thanks for reading,
Kieran.
