Help the Whorehouse Kill Over Taxation

As the leader of the Great Canadian Whorehouse I've decided I'm going to make it my goal to kill the 10% tax rate ASAP. The people have been taxed hard enough of late and I want to put an end to it. Our taxes are to damn high for our populace and bonuses.
As of now we need about 250k cc to complete congress defence budget plans which I fully support. I just think another month of a high taxation rate is to much as that's the projected timeline to complete the task.
I've already opened discussions in congress about a lower more stable tax rate and so I'm hoping we come up with a suitable number to cover our MPP's and that's about it. The lower the better.
Our country has entered a period where its obvious that our population size can not pay for aggressive wars. It will be up to the public and private donors to funds those efforts in the future.
Currently we need 250k cc to finish the defence funds off. I will pledge 125k cc to defence if others in the nation help cover the other 125k cc so we can quickly go about lowering taxes for the good of the country.
Help me to put this period of high taxation behind us with a fully armed and operational Defence fund for the country.

There's currently ~$130,000 in the Treasury (http://www.erepublik.com/en/country/economy/Canada) and another $120,000 in the Canadian Ministry of Finance org (http://www.erepublik.com/en/economy/citizen-accounts/1393239).
Are you saying that once the Treasury hits $255,000 you'll donate another $125,000 to the Treasury? I'm just curious about the specifics here.

It will be ledt for defence even if i take over this hithole again. Take into account i have over one million cc now so its a gift.
i know you us real money but i still cant fathom a million cc. i mean the other day i thought it was amazing i had 22000cc..... it was more than i'd ever had.
Knocking the tax rate down to 5%, even if for nothing else but so the finances can be responsibly budgeted like they used to be by the 15th of the month, is more than warranted. Else we are just taxing without purpose.

I admit, I was not following this very close. Didn't know there was some sort of finish line to all the WT excitement. I could have stopped all the fighting 2 months ago if I had know a couple hundred thou would have fixed everything.

I got my Q5 food and 2 FRMs to make my own food and that's it. I never did bother to look at how much tax I pay. Now I definitely don't, what could it be?
My problem now is gold for Training Grounds. I didn't get the Contract last time. That was never a big deal before. 😃 I quit leveling up so fast now that I don't WaM a commune or fight like a crazy person. Two more level ups and I'm done with paying for TGs.

This plan would have us rely on the generosity of a small number of citizens rather than spreading the responsibility to all citizens.
Who are you trying to defend with your proposal to kill the 10% tax? Money is easy to come by in this game. I can spin up an avatar tomorrow and have him in a surplus with a couple of weeks. Shorter when we have a war. You know this. I'm sure you do it frequently.
A 20% tax for a short period of time will help ensure that we aren't in a position where we have to rely on the kindness of people who might be sitting on huge piles of gold or currency. eCanada doesn't need a savior. You tried and failed. Now, please, go back to your basement.
