186th Congress wrap up

Day 5,691, 14:19 Published in USA USA by eUSA Congress

Welcome to THE SPEAKER'S WORD - The Official Journal of the eUSA Congress.
Dateline:
Tuesday, June 10, 2023 (Day 5691)
Location: 186th eUS Congress
Editor: bob boudahili, Speaker of the House

We are rounding the bend and headed to the end of the 186th Congress. I have been wanting to get this paper restarted, so better late than never, I suppose!

For your 186th Congress the eUS had a voter turnout of 271. The chamber of 41 congressmembers split as follows:

Rough Riders - 11
Federalist Party - 11
We The People - 8
The Black Sheep - 7
Socialist Freedom Party - 4

Since that time we have had one resignation from the SFP as their member resigned and left the eUS for the eUK.

Congressional Activity

Not a lot of outside of in-game proposals. We retained the budget last passed in April. So really that brings the focus on our effective and timely movement of money out of the treasury so that it can be disbursed to the various budget line programs.

With the election and then certification, this term effectively started on Day 5,667. Since that time, we have made 23 Donation Proposals to move money out of the treasury and into the CBO so that it can be used to fund programs like GIMP and Defense Spending. We had one misstep where we missed the window on day 5676 to open a donation proposal. We also had a mishap where a member only keyed in 40,000 instead of 400,000 on their donation proposal, both times.

To keep the money flowing to fund defense and domestic spending programs, these proposals are important to do correctly and to do them timely. Thanks to the following members who have participated on all proposals so far this term:

100%
Franklin Stone
Jadiv
darksrevan
tabanar
samb1985
camelbag

Honorable mention for these folks as well:
Above 90%
Wuky69
A H R
Bomb Squad
Gonzo Veritas
CloroxII

Thank YOU!

As the end of the term is near, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank my two Deputy Speakers logan Dunleavy and Arrden. I also wanted to thank all of the members for a solid session this month. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Speaker of the House.
