[President] Sweden is NOT at war with Finland

Day 1,548, 03:48 Published in Sweden Sweden by Valnad
This is a brief explanation of the recent attacks from Finland against Swedish core regions.

We have a signed deal that allows Finland to hold our deer region Jamtland Harjedalen until March 15th. This has nothing to do with cowardice, we simply let them have that in order for us to be able to get other raw materials in other regions. Unfortunately, the Russian war and its aftermath has currently made it very difficult for us to get a hold of those regions. This has, however, nothing to do with Finland. Since we have deer in Svealand, they will be allowed to keep Jamtland as long as they respect the treaty between our countries.

Their attacks on Jamtland Harjedalen yesterdat and Svealand today are all according to the deal. Finland lost Jamtland Harjedalen because they failed to defend it. Why, I do not know, but it sure was silly of them. Sweden actually did more damage to defend it for them than they did themselves, which is a bit ironic.

But since they lost the RW in Jamtland Harjedalen - as foolish and uneccessary as that may have been - they had to declare us NE in order to get it back.

Now that they have won it again, which we allowed them to do without a fight, they had to attack us a second time within 24 hours. That auto-attack just happened to land in Svealand and in a VERY inconvenient time (middle of the night).

Even though the decision to leave everything for auto attack is a bit risky (we had preferred if the attack was placed against another region than our capital, for all the obvious reasons) the intentions from our neighbors were in fact good. A bit naive, perhaps, but there was no intention of harming Sweden. We both want as few battles as possible until we can close down this NE war.

The rules of the game dictates that a NE shall last a minimum of 7 days before we can change it. When those 7 days are over, the Finnish CP will initiate a vote where he puts "no country" as Finlands new NE and then initiate a peace proposal, which I shall have to do too. Once these peace proposals have been accepted by our congresses, the war will be over.

Let this be a lesson for the future:

Winning Jamtland has caused us a lot of drain damage and irritation. I sincerely hope that Finland realizes that they shall have to do more than 500k damage per round if they are to keep that region, considering the amount of BH hunters that linger around the world. If not, we may have to re-evaluate the situation in the future.

Meanwhile, we have good reasons for not answering their NE with a NE vote of our own. You must realize that Sweden is in a fragile state right now, and we came very close to being attacked by Canada no more than 2 days ago. Due to the lingering threat of new attacks from TEDEN countries, I have together with my military cabinet decided to hold our NE for the time being.

I hope that this answers all your questions regarding the NE between Finland and Sweden.

Yours truly,

Valnad
