1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

quite good i think 🙂

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

we were trying to get midle resources 🙂 and we took them

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

with all be got we are happy

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

yes, we agreed with Poland to give titanium resource according this they promised to defend our original regions and help us in our wars/AS

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

i think there will be much more wars out of europe because lot of very rare resources are out of europe according distance limitations. so in my opinion biggest wars will move from europe outside 🙂

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

I think eCanada won the lottery to be honest. We scored 3 "full" regions and a neodymium thanks to the hard work of our CP and our allies! Its going to give us either a bargaining chip or a huge target until the next shakeup and i think that's important for eCanadians. We kind of need to feel important in one way or another! 😛

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

Our strategy going in was in constant flux with the admins changing the rules on the fly, adding in new concepts like pollution at the last minute etc. We definitely wanted to be strong in the core erep resources of food and weapons. We also knew our large geography was an asset in terms of not being blocked out and so as time went on the resources would get easier for us to obtain as the competition for each one was reduced.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

I personally was most happy about obtaining a "full" weapons bonus! I also think getting that neodymium at the last minute will make things interesting for us. While mostly useless on its own it will add a lot of strategy to eCanada's future!

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

We are renting out some resource regions to Serbia in exchange for all their help getting them in the first place, and also we plan to rent out neodymium to Romania.

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

The resource wars event really shook up the eworld. Its too soon to say how it will impact things, it will really depend on how important airplanes will be and if its enough to keep people interested in the game. Its very interesting to see some smaller nations set up as "farms" if you will. I'm curious to see how long those relationships will last and what happens if they dont.

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

eFrance didn’t do very good, even if not everything was bad. We still managed to gather some fighters on IRC (something we hadn’t done seriously in a long time) and got a few average resources, but we could have definitely done better.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

The population was divided about that question: eFrance have been quite much invaded in the past because of some rare resources, so some French people wanted to avoid them. As far as I was concerned, I wanted eFrance to try for all the resources.

In the end, we still tried to get some rare bonuses, but we didn’t try for all of them.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

The limestone (rare house industry)

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

Not for the moment.

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

Like often, admins didn’t give enough precision for the Resource Event to go the best: even now we still don’t know what the new industry will bring to the game. Also we didn’t have enough information to know how to best chose in which region to put the resources obtained.
Nonetheless, it was still good to have an event that pushed fighters of a country to get coordinated again and fight with synchronization, even if I also saw many fighters just messing up other countries attempts.
Overall it wasn’t a bad event, but it could have been a lot better with more information from the admins, and if it had been quite much shorter.
Now some powerful countries which didn’t manage to get got resources will have to spread quite much to get full bonuses. It should bring some nice wars in the next weeks!

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

I think pretty well as we got all resources we wanted, ofc we didn't get rare or very rare, but from the beginning we knew that Poland will take them.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

Our strategy was to keep in the middle(safe way,as we have greedy neighbours) - not taking rare or very rare, but also we didn't need to take very common resources.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

Oil and aluminium..

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

We got titanium for Poland, but we still haven't signed agreement.

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

I am sure, there will be changes in "friendships" for sure...

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

The Netherlands has known a dark and sad month during the Resource Wars event. Due to internal politics the government that was democratically elected was iligitimate . Our lawbook did not allow our CP to be our dictator at the same time and the focus on the event was lost. Without everyone trying to accomplish our goals during the event we failed.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

Our strategy at the start of the event was to go for a high weapons bonus. Aquiring these resources proved difficult due to our small military force. We were not able to control our domination points against our TW partners Croatia and the UK. We tried to switch to a TW with Belgium but time wasn't in our favour.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

Tbh we're not happy at all. We aquired a 10% bonus in food, weapons and house which is not favourable for our citizens at all.

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

We have not yet made explicit agreements but we are planning to work together with Belgium. Sharing their food bonus region.

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

From a global perspective the event was a succes. Thanks to allies small countries were able to collect good resources just like bigger countries were able to. Sadly for NL this event was terrible. On the positive side you might say no one will be interested in occupying our regions with no attractive bonuses and no tax money to be claimed as our community is very small.

...

Looooong article, time for a break and a tire check!

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

We did incredibly well. All 4 Very Rares in each industry. We obtained 4 resources each in Weapons, Housing and food industries. Canada had a geographical advantage of being remote and huge. This made it next to impossible to block us out of the Rare and Very Rare categories.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

Our strategy was to partner with Serbia. Serbia had been in Canada since helping free us from Albania. Serbia has been a great ally to Canada ever since taking us under their wing when the USA blackballed us from their side back in the last major alliance shuffle.

From the beginning we had decided to work and share resources with Serbia. Once Serbia was at a point we became their number one priority they did an amazing job. At that point in the event they had perfected their strategies and we benefited from that learning curve.

With our deal with Serbia we delivered not only the resources but financial and military security going forward.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

Well I know it was not fish. Neodymium is the most interesting. We did not really expect to get it in the first place as it was the last of only 4 in the world. As it is the only Airplane resource we got it’s only real purpose is as a rental property.

Time will tell Neodymium is a boon or a curse to us.

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

We will be sharing resources with Serbia. As we understand the rules our industries will have identical resource bonuses under the deal. Serbia will control weapons and housing and we will control food.

Neo will be rented to Romania.

The rentals will produce 210,000 CC of income and come with a guaranteed security of our cores from both super powers.

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

The event was a marathon that took 100’s of hours of effort. Those who worked on the math and strategies truly appreciate how difficult it was.

Once countries started sabotaging each other it also became very cut throat as well.

It was very interesting but I would never want to go through it again.

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

As a weapons producer myself I hoped that my country would take more weapons resources since they are most profitable and majority of bigger players mainly produce them.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

in first half of the month we used tactic "lets take resources that Poland wouldn't care about", and in the second half "lets give Poland one bonus and take some food and weapons"

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

neither

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

we gave Poland 1 region for their protection and they wouldn't take rest of our regs, but now it seems that they will try to conquer us using Latvia

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

war between LT and LV started so I think there will be lots of new wars, and Asteria vs Pacifica will finally happen

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

Very poor due to politics outside the game itself which paralysed government.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

Strategy was worked on by a very small group of players and was focussed on trying to get as high as possible bonus on one resource. Sadly high %bonus resources were gained close to us due to which that came impossible soon. The fact we hardly scored tokens was also due to the fact we were paralysed and tactics were not relayed to the citizens due to which timing tokens was almost impossible.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

None. We went backwards a lot which means I personally will have a large set back should I stay in eNL with my comps and eNL as well due to the fact its likely hardly any tax income will be generated via companies.

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

Not yet but there are some ideas on that. However due to our lack of bonus it will become hard to accomplish

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

Hard to tell yet as the effect of pollution isn't known yet and te effect of aviation are unclear as well.

1. So, Erepublik experienced a resource reset – how do you think your country fared?

It is too early to tell. We got nice stuff but we didn't keep most of it. What will determine if it is a success or failure is what the gov't does with the rental income. I am hoping they use it to build a nice fat war chest because a) todays friends can always become tomorrow's enemies and vice versa; b) We can't rely on the Serbs to do everything for us, especially if there are multiple front wars; c) having lots of money gives you lots of options and d) Some players with big visas (yes I am looking at you Colin ) decide to go on a rampage for entertainment and we need to have at least double what they are willing to spend to make them look elsewhere.

2. What was your country's strategy going into the tournament – attempt to get the best possible resources? Or the more common resources in an attempt to make your nation less attractive to potential invaders? Or somewhere in between?

Originally I thought it was to get as many quality resources for ourselves but really it was about helping Serbia get additional resources as Europe was screwed and hopefully make money from renting it. We would get protected as it is in both our interests. But we will have to wait and see how things pan out.

3. Which new resource(s) were you most happy about obtaining?

I would say the weapons. But that may change.

4. Has your nation established any rental arrangements/deals so that you or a neighbouring nation can capitalise on each other's resources? If yes, tell us a little bit about that.

We rented out all the high value resource regions. We aren't renting anything back. I am hoping that the rental agreement has some flexibility in it because Canada has been terrible in the past about renting out regions. We have usually come somewhat close to breaking even, and I have always felt that if you are renting out regions, you should be making money at it.

5. How do you feel the Resource Event went generally, and how do you think the new frontlines that formed based on the revised resource distribution will impact the game?

I think it was a complete clusterfuck. Most of it can be dropped on Plato. I don't actually think they have a clue what the end goal of this is and are flying by the seat of their pants.
