[MR4CP] - Forever and a day

Day 3,659, 18:56 Published in USA USA by Melissa Rose

Five for Fighting - 100 Years
I'm fifteen for a moment
Caught in between ten and twenty
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

First let's get this out of the way: I am running for CP.

Why? Because it’s December and it is the one month no one wants to do the job. It’s usually busy and I am not busy this month. Finals are this week and then I’m off for a month.

I was sitting here thinking about how long I’ve been playing this game. Nearly 10 years… Dear god that’s a long time. I mean really nearly 10 years (with a couple of breaks here and there). It’s an unfathomable amount of time and my life has changed drastically.

I’ve been through quite a number of changes in that time. So has the game. It has been amazingly large and quite a bit of fun. There was so much to do you couldn’t even blink without some new thing driving you. The congressional elections (especially when you ran per State) and Presidential elections, everything was large with thousands of players voting and participating.

The people that played during that time were giants and all of the people were awe inspiring (well at least I was). Those people knew how to play this game, at least, they understood what it took at that time to play it. It was a much more complex game in those days.

If you look around you will realize that you are now playing a much smaller game. The amount of people playing these days is a miniscule amount, comparatively speaking. It doesn’t take the giants to play anymore.

I’m not even sure they could.

Today's game takes a different type of person to deal with. Someone who thinks of things on a smaller, more detailed scale. Everything is much smaller in comparison and takes someone with a bit more of a refined skill to handle.

Internal politics is much different now. People aren’t nearly as engaged as they use to be but I believe they want to be. They are just looking for some new idea to inspire them. The problem is they don’t even know what will work. They look at any new ideas and find fault because it’s not exactly what they wanted.

I have always been a CP who was more concerned with national activity than with international anything. After a few months of Wild Owl this is what we need. I am here for you to help you enjoy the game again (Even if it’s only for a month). I have the time and the willingness to do things you want done.

So here’s your chance. I have a couple of fun ideas to play with , but what I want is for you to give me an idea. Ultimately this is your game just as much as it’s mine.

So what ideas do you have?

While it may seem small, the ripple effects of small things is extraordinary.
