Dear Aussies,
We have such a beautiful newspaper called eAustralian Government, created with the only purpose to keep you informed. Unfortunately the last article was written 7 months ago. The person who will write here must be a congressman or vCP. Each department has newspaper except the congress and the second in charge.
Congress
This month we have 10 congress seats. Only 82 players voted this time and it is a bit higher activity than the previous evections where 78 players gave their vote. It is important to note that the candidates for congress were around 30. Congress Thread in eRepublik joint message is the way for communication, discussion, taking decisions.
Laws
NE and MPP will be proposed only by our CP in tight cooperation with MoFA.
Donate and Issue money are important only during tournaments. This month we don’t expect any.
VAT, Taxes, Embargo, Minimum wage are very unlikely to be changed. No reason for that – we don’t have efficient economy. Any suggestions for changes are welcome, then we will open a discussion.
Impeachment – when it is necessary will be voted for the best of eAustralia.
Provide citizenship – it is extremely important for us at this stage. We are multinational community and we are happy to provide CS to serious players with good intentions.

Foreign Affairs and our place on the world map
As you can see on the map we have one region free and we have no common borders with Chile or Indonesia. We are hidden under Argentina’s umbrella, which protect us from direct attack. We feel safe in this cozy place, but we must know that it will not be forever and our future CPs and MoFAs must work to ensure the stability of eAustralia.
Looking at the map you will notice that liberating a region bordering with Chile will cost us our freedom. Those RWs are prepared by our enemies and we must fight on the side of our new “conqueror”. Many of you want more MPPs with our allied nations. Unfortunately we can’t sign many of them, not because of financial reasons, but because Argentina is our “enemy” and we are in constant war. A nation can’t sign MPP with two different countries fighting in between.
There are/will be changes in the strongest alliances – Asteria, Aurora, Sirius (there is no such alliance any more). At this stage LETO will remain with same nations within.

DoF is using several Orgs for trading on Monetary Market. So if you wonder where the money gone, take is easy, they are located in government Orgs.
Education
Rusty D is the man, nothing more to say. JDS tasks are extended and I hope we will see more often JDS and ADF articles, even if the contains is the same this information and guidance is very helpful for all young players.

Had to rub my eyes for a second there, I couldn't believe there was government article.

Wow, seven months? I honestly doubted that so went and looked back and yeah, last one was from me 😛 Christ on a bike...
Anyway, senators/congressmen have their own newspapers, or if they don't they get 5 gold for being elected so can afford one with 3 gold to spare. Trouble is when you have party influenced senators writing in a Government owned org newspaper it can look like the Government is endorsing candidates and/or particular parties. Which is why i personally would ask senators/congressmen to use their own articles for any writings they may have.
I understand, but someone should use this newspaper. Any congressman can write here, just it is enough to ask me or CP for access.
The MoFA newspaper hasn't been used in four months either but surely it would be better to get Government Depts working publicly rather than that? Anyway it's your Governments call but it is something that could easily be open to abuse and considering newspapers are 2 gold to set up it does seem a little needless.
Hate to agree with Hugh but something has to be done to light a fire under Senators. Back in the glory days we had over half of our Senators (a body of around 40 back when) actively write articles. There were those like Callum, Flatty, Ranger, Larni, Xavier, PJK, me .. we wrote individual or party caucus newsletters covering policy developments in legislation to what the Government was doing.
Quite a lot of the time this was helpful to the Department of Information who would scan our papers and add their own from XG's forum roll call to Ministers asking for departmental updates to fold into the DoI article cycle (usually out every 7 days).
Times have changed.
