[DC] Presidential Candidacy

Hello eIreland,
I’m writing article of this kind for 7th time in my life. Yet again I’m running for eIrish President, I’m not sure if this would make me the longest time President of eIreland, but it’s surely exciting to run again. Most of you already know me, but for those who don’t, I’ll introduce myself first and then present you my cabinet, plans and programs.





Introduction…

I’m Don Croata, in real life student from Osijek, Croatia and absolute fan of Ireland, its culture, people, music, history, mythology and many more. That was the reason I’ve decided to come in Ireland back in 2011. (it’s been four years already?). I was kinda an active player before I came here, but once I met some great people such as IBhoy I’ve started to think more about how to win in a game, how to use the game mechanics best, how to treat an ally and enemies.

I’ve been Commander of the ICA, Irish Army, I’ve been Minister of Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs and now I’m also Minister of Finances, I’ve also been President of Ireland for six times. Internationally I’ve been Founder and Secretary General of Aurora. There’s been many roles I had in this game and I’ve never changed my personality, my friends, my methods. I’m honest and open, which sometimes makes me hard to cooperate with, but that’s simply who I am. Most of my friends love me the same way I love them and that’s what matters the most. One thing is sure, being President of Ireland has always been the highest honour for me in this game.



Cabinet…

As always, I’m picking only the best and most capable people to do the job. Cooperation and communication are the key to have a successful Government and that’s what I’m planning to establish first.

His duties will be to be my right hand, to help me organise Cabinet, coordinate with allies, improve our diplomacy even further and take care of the country.

Machiavelli and Lalo292 are going to be in charge of our diplomacy. Both of them are highly expirienced guys and will do the job better than anyone else could. Machiavelli is former President of Armenia and long time Turkish MoFA. Lalo292 is Mexican-Irish. He’s been here for a while, then left to Mexico, but now he’s back and ready to do work for our country. They will have important job of finding us allies, maintaining our good relations and many more.

Inept has proven himself as very active and capable Minister, he’s been publishing articles with orders more often than any MoD so far, he’s organised our 24/7 supply on #IrishArmy and several successful National Strikes. It would be stupid not to call for this guy again in a new term!

Minister of Finances

Yep, I’m going to keep up working with our country’s assets, it doesn’t take too much time and I believe I’ve been pretty successful in this job over the February. Having to reset all the orgs and look for a new MoF would be too much pain.

These two girls has been the most active new citizens we had in a while with many fresh ideas, it would be great to see them doing some ‘official’ work too. Many of you will agree that we need a lot more of new citizens of this kind and it wouldn’t be smart to give them something to do. Girls are gonna be awesome.

This is the new Ministry I’m founding due to changes made by Plato, our country is small and we need maximum protection. It’s the perfect job for guy I have the most trust in. He’s capable of locating and suspicious movements in our country and he’s going to make sure we reduce the odds to get a foreign Dictator.

Considering a coming Baby boom this Ministry is finally going to have someone to work for, we’re expecting many new citizens and they will need a lot of advices, tutorials and help. That’s exactly what Ian is going to be in charge of.

Since AC has been running IA Boot camp for a some time now I believe he’d be perfect candidate for this position, I have no doubts he’s going to do a proper job. We’ll need our babies to be messaged and welcomed and AC + Ian combination should make them stay for sure!

Plans and projects..

The March term should be pretty exciting as always in this time of the year, it’s spring so many new alliances often are founded in this time, believe it or not, almost all important alliances has been founded in Spring! Also, we’re expecting a baby boom which should add a huge resposability on the next Government to keep the babies in the game regardless of how much it sucks.

Keeping our country safe..

This is definitly going to be one of the most important task for the next Government due to recent changes. That’s the reason we’re adding Secret Service Ministry in our Cabinet. We’re going to make detail searches of each and every Irish MU, Irish citizen, Irish new citizen and any suspicious movements will be identified much sooner than they would be able to do something.

By keeping our country safe I meant on keeping our money safe too. We’re going to keep making as much money as possible and we’ll keep finacial reports transparent. Using the schemes, new non-commune system for our army and taxes changes is pretty good for eIreland, we maybe change one tax, but that’s still under consideration. Our average wage has increased greatly recently because of dropping Communes system and that’s really good for our economy because Work tax is based on average wage. With lower taxes we’ve still managed to secure same (or even bigger) amount of money in our treasury.

Unity of Armed Forces..

As you know, most of our firepower has been located in Irish Army right now. This is a clear sign we need to keep doing a great job Mr. Tayto is doing in our national army. Once we get all the lads on the IRC for National Strikes and once we organise ourselves better we’ll be grand. Recruitment and inviting people to eIreland is something we need to insist on due to our low amount of citizens. But, recently I’ve seen that our population makes 0,03% of Erepublik’s population, while our ‘active now’ citizens makes 0,065% of Erepublik’s active now. Our media has been good recently and it really seems we’re doing fine recently. I believe that having our Army united in one Military Unit definitly had something to do with it!

Baby boom…

Money gathering is now in the final few weeks, I’m going to make sure that we prepare everything our babies are going to need. We’ll need active players who are going to message babies as soon as they register by checking ‘Online now’ page, we’ll need tutorials, we’ll need to encourage them to join IRC. All in all, we’re going to take all the possible steps to make our babies stay in the game and make our country stronger. It’s time for us to raise to a mid-sized country of this game!

Sometimes pen is stronger than a sword…

In the following days we’re going to present an Alliance draft to our Congress, we’re signing a deal with Canada and United Kingdom and we’re going to protect each others. This is highly important and it secures our borders. The only two risks our country will be in danger of are Airstrikes and Coups. Airstrikes would be easy to reject since we’re going to have two allies nearby just waiting to join the battles, while Coups will be much easier to win with three countries involved in protecting our democracy.

Our relations are also great with exAurora, exSirius and recently Pacifica nations as well. We’re going to improve those relations even more, because nothing is more precious than friends our country has made in this game. We wouldn’t be as strong as we’re now without them and losing any of them would hurt us badly.

Communication…

I’m going to publish Presidential updates as often as possible, we’re going to be on service to Irish citizens and no important decisions such as joining an alliance won’t be made without a proper referendum. It wouldn’t make much sense to join any alliance without support of our citizens.





Final words…

As you can see, I have many plans for the coming term, I’m asking you, Irish citizens, to give me your trust once again so we can keep doing a good job, protect our country and improve ourselves even more. Considering our size we’ve done briliant things in the last months and I plan to keep doing the good work. I’m sad there’s no more competitors for the Presidential race since that would probably make more people vote, but there’s no reason not to give your vote to some of the candidates, it’s your democrative right, use it!
