I have logged on and played this game for many years. I have met people who cared and I myself have cared ... for keeping our country alive against all odds. I believe that the best of our players (who would have been the best in this entire stupid game) stuck through and helped us win through impossible odds.

Maybe the odds themselves brought out the best in us ... who knows!!

All I know is that nowadays on discord and in the e-world in general, its all about farming and appeasing certain players. This just has no relevance for newbies (although this can definitely keep a handful of old folks around spending shit-loads just cos they want the elite mantle)

Having been in the games industry since father Time, this economics smells of a gambling/Poker kind of scenario - where the whales play to feel good and the others are irrelevant unless they are subservient.

Amazingly this works to a lot of profit (well okay - 20% at best! with 5% being the norm) BUT I don't see a crucial component that drives this capitalist wheel .................................

If you feed the whales you got to make sure there is enough variance to keep the minnows keen. While people keep fattening up their accounts to ridiculous levels (level 1500 +) there is no compensatory alignment happening with the lower graders.

Im amazed and also saddened that historical hatred has kept people spending and staying into this game that is so flawed? So you mean (@Greeks - being a supremacist in a game is your final objective against @FY-Macedonians? though you were both brothers when there was a Yugoslavia? and of course vice versa)

That above, was just an example - I don't get why people still hang on? I tried last 2 (3?) months ... but have failed to see any strategy or value.

I refused to spend a single dollar and I still do cos there is nothing in this for my country India cos there is no strategy!!!

(maybe Im too poor as compared to the European fools! hey!)

Maybe my article will get banned and deleted but that would again be hiding your head in the sand and symptomatic of what you truly are .... busy with other projects whole you leave this one to die a slow prolonged death.

I think there is no value in resurrection and the past is buried forever.

The game is no more than hanging out with a few old and new friends... And I doubt they are going to change that anytime soon

Great words Ashwamaedh. It's sad to see the downward spiral of this game.

In December it will be my 10th anniversary since joining. In all this time I have never spent any money on this game.Why? Because I don't mix my reality with my escapism. Bringing real money into my escapism would no longer make this a place to escape too. I keep both completely separate and that's the way it should be in my opinion. The moment you start mixing the two, your mind can't distinguish between the two and then that's when it can become dangerous. The point and purpose of a good game is lost. I understand people like to have a few little luxuries to enhance their experience, but there is a point when it goes too far and this as you pointed out is what we are seeing here.

I fear the game is past the point of being able to redeem itself as I've seen this happen before to other games.

I know I come and go from here as the wind changes, something I've always done, but maybe 8th December 2019 will be a fitting date for me to say my very final goodbye. I shall give a little hope and optimism until then, but if there is no improvement, I know that's the right time to go.
