Thanks for reporting me.
It's OK if you don't care, but not everyone thinks like you.
I do care.
And if there are spammers, that means there is more than one person that cares.
And even if there would be a game exactly the same as eRepublik, it would matter who manages it and who plays it.
And if only the way they would treat cheating in the game would be better, that would be a big difference...
And if there would be some game development on top, that would be a huge difference...
And that would be a better game...
And some competition in the game market offer would make it all better for the players.
And calling writing about it "spam", doesn't make it any better.
On the contrary, that should be called censorship and monopolly, which in the real world Republics and Democracies are defined by freedom-of-speech in the consitution and regulated by antitrust laws.
When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.
please tell me that's a copy pasta
Sorry, i dont read this book. Please notify me when your story become a movie
btw i didn't report you, i only reported the new accounts spamming the link on boards and articles. I'm gonna wait until you tell me it's a copy pasta or not before commenting on the content of what you said lol
Not a copy paste.
Ok so a proper answer then:
> Thanks for reporting me.
As I said, I'm only reporting new accounts that are flooding feeds and articles, if you are already an active player and want to take the risk of external advertising on your own, I'm not the one concerned about it.
> It's OK if you don't care, but not everyone thinks like you.
> I do care.
Absolutely, it's (still) a world where people are allowed to have different opinions, I'm annoyed by the spam not by the fact itself.
> And if there are spammers, that means there is more than one person that cares.
Ok so here is where our opinions start to diverge. More than one person can care but that does not validate spam. Nothing validates spam to be honest. You as an individual can gon on your group and talk about a subject but you (figuratively) cannot create new accounts to abuse on advertising on areas where people don't want that to be done (e.g. unrelated articles, MU/friends news feed, DMs, etc).
> And even if there would be a game exactly the same as eRepublik, it would matter who manages it and who plays it.
I have nothing against a game as eRepublik, if anything I believe competition drives quality forward if done correctly. I do understand though that eRepublik admins don't want competition (well, nothing external, really) to be advertised on their own platform. We can agree or not but it's absolutely their right to decide whether or not it's allowed on their domain. It's a private platform, after all.
> And if only the way they would treat cheating in the game would be better, that would be a big difference...
Yes, I have tons of criticism about game mechanics, and how glitches are abused, and how reports are handled, yet I don't think these are excuses to accept spam
> And if there would be some game development on top, that would be a huge difference...
> And that would be a better game...
Absolutely, the more they invest on development the better (arguably) is the outcome, but this is not the scope of this discussion.
> And some competition in the game market offer would make it all better for the players.
As I said previously, I do think competition drives quality forward. I don't care about competition but I don't think it should cease to exist. I just don't want to have 1 day accounts flooding game communication channels about it.
> And calling writing about it "spam", doesn't make it any better.
I'm calling exactly what it is. Unsolicited, massive, deceptive advertising is called spam. It doesn't do better to anyone really, even the other game as it gains reputation about the bad practices that them or their users are doing elsewhere.
> On the contrary, that should be called censorship and monopolly, which in the real world Republics and Democracies are defined by freedom-of-speech in the consitution and regulated by antitrust laws.
I think there is some misconception here. Monopoly would be eRepublik acting on real-world against other games existing. Censorship is arguable but again, this is a private platform and not a public social media, we are subject to their terms after all. In my concept, that would be censorship if eRepublik punished your account for actions you have taken beyond the game limits (e.g. your account is banned because you (real person) used your social media to advertise about other game).
> When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.
I think you have good intentions but there a lot of misconceptions on your speech.
