Why eFYROM is a racist state, and the irony of its racism.

Day 2,640, 06:09 Published in Greece Greece by Yiannis and Vasilis balambani

A few years ago on FYROMonian state television, a wonderful video was broadcasted featuring God essentially viewing the Skopians as the chosen people of Earth and leaders of the white race (Macedonoids) against the implied inferior of Negroids and Mongoloids.

Such rhetoric is to be expected from a country, which until 1991 derived its legitimacy to existence from communism, which not only entangled itself in their recently constructed ethnic identity, but was in fact invented by academics and communist Bulgarians in the 1930s, who conviently changed their position when Tito broke his ties with the Soviet Union.

Yet, the most obvious product of their racism is not from the communist period, but from after it. You will notice that Skopians will claim that we Greeks are "Guptins" but what does Guptin mean?

At first, beyond the ocassional forums, it was difficult to find a reliable source as to what it meant, though generally it is associated with any who is of dark complexion or darker skin.

You see, in Skopia, they are educated that being white means being superior and that "Guptins" or darker ones are inferiors, less intelligent and suspecitble to corruption. This insult, Guptin, which they bestow to Greece, derives from their national mythology of Greece, where they portray the Greeks as African barbarians who migrated from Ethiopia and mixed with everyone.

This is merely an example of Social Identity Theory, in which the collective populace feels an inherent inferiority complex to a population of another country, and so seeks ways to present them as inferiors. This is done on the basis of race and racialism, a beacon of the primitive political culture that surrounds Skopians.

When Greeks do the same, all they have to do is call them slavs, something which to anyone with basic knowledge of Slavic language, culture and names is overwhelmingly obvious. On the other hand, these could be a retaliation to how we refer to them as Skopians, though the term itself isnt racist. The only racist term used interchangeably is gypsy, but this term is generally used across all the Balkans.

Anyway whoever is against such discrimination against Blacks or anyone dark skinned, should report any Skopian posting the term Guptins.

Regards.
