To the people of Chile from the eHungarian government

Two nights ago, just as we were locked in battles on erepublik, a huge earthquake shook Chile in real life, followed by several aftershocks and a tsunami, causing untold damage in the country. Six people died and many lost their homes, living and safety there and in neighbouring countries as well.

Though our armies in this eworld are contestants, we fight ferocious battles and play diplomatic strategies ingame, we are not enemies, and so we cannot go by such tragedy unspoken. We feel for the Chilean people and their suffering. It is real in a way a game can never be. We are deeply sympathetic for the tragedy and the loss it caused.

Please accept our sympathies in the spirit it is given - it is heartfelt and true. We wish you the best that is possible in real life, while remaining on the other side ingame.
