The election for President is over, and w3st3rb3rg won once again. Runner up was Flitwick, which wanted change in Sweden to more open doors for everyone.
This election showed that Sweden are not that ready for making changes after all. The war agains Norway was one of Flitwicks goals and was forfilled even before the election. It is not that often we see politics coming through before election. But this time the proposal was adopted by the government, even though saying it would be impossible.
This election seems to have been about being willing to change - about Sweden being a union of SE and DK.
Our political reporter see the result as a vote against the Union of these two countries. It is still the Swedes that rule and have the high ranking posts in government. Not even in the military we see Danes high ranked, to ensure the Danes have some influence in coming wars.
The speech from our President w3st3rb3rg was not even released in English, but only in Swedish. He might have forgotten that the Danes are reading and writing in English. That many of the Danes could not read, nor understand his speech. Looks suspiciously like he did not expect the Danes to read it anyway, or his speech was only meant for the Swedes.
Flitwick wrote up his government in his speech for the election. A government with both Danes and Swedes chosen from their abilities to help make change, and to rule the union ahead in times to come.
Would have been nice to see the Danes and Swedes actually work together in getting this union to get strong and big. Maybe even create a united Scandinavia, which would stand up to many wars in the future.
Only united we will be strong, divided we fall - the election showed that the two countries in the union have not become one people yet.
Still we see closed doors, to avoid the people to see behind the scene. If this union is going to work, these doors have to open up.
As Dane you have to consider if you ever will be a equal partner in Sweden.

This is such nonsense! Flitwick, I actually thought that you could make a good president since you seem to work hard and are willing to devote much of your free time to this game, but seeing how you have behaved for the last couple of weeks makes me sick. First, you took full credit for a war that even Eddan proposed months ago. Now, you are suggesting that everyone that did not vote for you are actually supporting the idea of Danes being some kind of second class citizens. This is an outrageous accusation!
If you would have been a bit more humble, maybe you would have gotten more votes, including mine.
@Maine Coon: To suggest that Westerberg winning the election means that Danes will never be equal partners in Homonavia is incredibly inaccurate.
Well Volcker - its your opinion - and mine is different - its allowed to have my own I guess 🙂 and I have more than once seen the difference between being Dane or being Swede in this game.
So lets just agree on that we do not agree 😛~

@Flitwick: You did not write this article but the things that you have written earlier are just in line with this. And you "As a Dane, Flitwick has made up his mind too." serves as an evidence that you agree with the author of the article.
This behaviour is, if anything, just resulting in the fact that Danes will be alienated. You guys are acting like you belong to a special club, a aristocratic society, the "proud and sturdy Danes" if you will. For instance, I've got more than 20 replies for my survey posted both on erepublik.se and as an article here, but not a single reply from a Dane. Do you guys really want to be a part of the Homonavian society or do you just wish to rule it?

More than once I have seen the talk on irc stop if we danes try to get in the talk, which is almost impossible because much of what´s said - we dont understand. More than once I seen articles only in swedish - are they not meant for us to read and understand ?
The latest example of that is the presidential speech from mr. westerberg - only published in Swedish for the election.
If its short I understand most swedish, but when its long it becomes chaos for my eyes. I need long articles in english to get the hang if it, and I´m pretty sure I´m not the only one.

As a Dane, ruining Danish-Swedish relations is like my number one skill.
P.s. Danes, quit being sissies. I can read Swedish and Danish is not my mother tongue. If you can't read Swedish it's because you're lazy or stupid. The more important issue is how Sweden isn't interested in us, so we might as well make it as unpleasant for them as it is for us. You know, the e-version cost of occupation. 😛

Why do you think that Flitwick deserved to be President? He got so mad for losing the election that he left TSM and started fighting against Sweden. Is that a person capable of running a country?

As a Swede and Aurora member I think that everyone should calm down! I have had it with the bulying and rasism between Swedes and Danes, this is just childish! To all of you, stop using what single individuals are doing and saying to judge an entire eCountry! We did that in kindergarten, ok? Homonavia is something we all should value higher then everything in ePolitics.. Sure I haven't been around that long, but I have seen that eSweden and eDenmark would be nothing without eachother, that is true..
So stop it with this childish attitude!
