The Briar and the Rose (Mandatory listening)

I can count on one hand the number of eRepublikans that I have actually spoken with outside of the game. There is a reason for this. I'm just not that into you.

I'm prickly.

Call me... a Briar.

But Melissa Rose?

I'm TOTALLY into her.




I openly admit that 50% of my endorsement is based on the fact that I have gotten to know MR beyond the game. Call it what you will, but when you start talking with someone about life, the universe and everything, you walk away with an insight into that person's character. The result of that is that you also begin to understand what makes that person tick on the inside of the game as well.

So I have a wee bit of understanding about what makes Mel tick.

She is a lover.




There are haters in this game too. Many of them are successful and have enjoyed multiple successful terms as CP. So being a lover isn't the only recipe for success in this game, but it also happens to be my preferred method of engagement.

So Mel and I are kindred eSpirits. We love to love the people we play this game with, whomever they may be.

Mel pays attention to the people who surround her and develops a genuine interest in their success. Since I get that, I trust that. I know that the kind of game Mel plays can be enormously successful in eRepublik.

You really should get to know her.





But there's also the other 50% of the reason for my endorsement...

There's more than a little bit to say about her from the experience angle. I suspect you already know this, but MR has been hanging around the halls of government for as long as I can remember. Sure she took a brief hiatus or two when RL demanded it, but haven't we all?

My point is, she knows the game, how it works, how eUSA runs, who needs to be doing what jobs, and she knows the most important thing... the thing that every Federalist leader for all time has always needed to know... she knows not to F**K it up.

(That's in inside joke among the Feds, they'll all get it. At least it used to be...)





Look, we've all seen what a quality individual DMJ is. Heck, if he were female I'd probably be hot on his tail too. But he's not, so meh. I want me some Melissa Rose NOW.

You do realize, don't you, how much more thrilling it is to have a female CP, right? I can verify: MR is female. Seriously female. Like... female playing an internet browser game for real female. Let that sink in.

Vote for the hot chick, bro.





No but back to business. And getting a wee bit personal here. I do love me some Melissa Rose. Every time I've found myself in the midst of some creative stupidity that I seem to love getting myself into from time to time, and while half of the pipsqueek troll brigade (I am soooo resisting the urge to drop a few url links here...) was busy tromping their verbial cowboy boots unceremoniously all over my plaintive pleas for understanding, Melissa Rose was there actually listening and understanding why I was in the place I was in. In case you've never experienced that before, it's called humanity.

Melissa Rose is a diamond among a pile of used Kingston charcoal briquettes.





So for the love of this game, give her the big chair for a couple of months.

She won't f**k things up.
She will make you feel happy you are an eAmerican.
She will spread her magical charms across the seas.
She will most certainly discover and promote some untapped talented citizens.
She will give every eAmerican an equal voice.
And if I'm lucky, I'll get to spend the month romping around naked in the Lincoln Bedroom.

After all, nothing completes a Briar like a Rose...
