New Airborne Contest

New Airborne contest!

Airborne’s next competition will begin this Tuesday, on eRepublik day 2240. The four platoons will battle it out to see which is the strongest and most active, in two week-long heats. During the first week, all four platoons will compete against each other in fighting and activity checks. The two highest-scoring platoons will then move to the second heat, where they will compete one-on-one for the championship.

How to Win

Each day, every soldier will be awarded points for the following activities:

1. Fighting. Soldiers will receive .01 points for every opponent defeated during the week. The in-game Weekly Leaderboards will be used to gather this figure.

2. Responding to orders. A soldier will receive 2 points for each day that he or she acknowledges the Joint Military Orders (JMO) on the forum, by responding in some way on the day’s thread. Here is where you can find the JMO.

3. Visiting Airborne on IRC. By joining our room, #eAirborne, soldiers will another 2 points per day. This will be done passively using .seen checks, so you do not have to do anything but show up.

4. Signing in to the Battle Channel. After joining #eAirborne, soldiers should hop over to the battle channel. Once in the battle channel, a soldier can earn another 2 points per day by filling out the sign-in form, which can be found in the topic bar.

5. Responding to Roll Call. An additional 5 points will be awarded to each soldier for responding to his or her platoon’s roll call within the required 48 hour period.

At the end of the week, each platoon will get its total score by adding up the score of each platoon member, and then dividing that figure by the number of soldiers in the platoon. This produces the platoon’s score per soldier, so that larger platoons do not have an advantage.

The two platoons that score the highest in the first week will compete against each other the following week for the top rewards, and months of bragging rights. Will the legendary 82/1 emerge on top again, or will another platoon, rejuvenated by fresh recruits, take the prize?

Prizes

Week 1 winners will each receive 10 Q7 tanks.
Week 2 winners will each receive 5 gold.

There is will individual awards each worth 5 gold as well:
Most Active: The person who responds to RC, JMO, IRC and Battle Sign-ins.
Most fights: The person who gets the most points in fighting.

The contest is being run by XO Vrpanch, with perhaps some assistance from yours truly, so hit him or me up if you have any questions. Contest details are subject to change, if any kinks need to be worked out, according to Vrpanch’s whim.
