HAP - Now the 3rd

Day 5,901, 19:28 Published in Canada Canada by Canadian Civil Defence

Hot Air Program has just completed its 156th week, which means the Hot Air Program has officially become 3 years old.

To mark this momentous occasion, we will look at some wonderful stats of the program, as we head into a fourth year, with just as much success as we have had in the past years, if not more!

Hot Air Program, Year 3, by the numbers:

43,489,488 - The amount of cc handed out through the program! (29.27% increase from last year)
4,917,534 - The total number of air kills made by participants! (22.06% increase over last year)
9.645 - The average payment per kill throughout the year! (7.25% increase over last year)

The payment system was overhauled early in the year so that the pay per kill decreased faster the more kills you did. However, it also increased the amount that each player was paid for their first few kills significantly, raising the amount of money all players received whether they did just a few kills or many. This along with lots of home air epics and some big rank ups resulted in a record year for all three metrics above!

Other Fun Information:
The 55 millionth dollar was paid in Week 108.
The payment changed in Week 113, from 350 cc per square root of kills to 1,400 cc per cube root of kills.
The 60 millionth dollar was paid in Week 114.
The 65 millionth dollar was paid in Week 119.
The 70 millionth dollar was paid in Week 125.
The 75 millionth dollar was paid in Week 132.
The 80 millionth dollar was paid in Week 140.
The 85 millionth dollar was paid in Week 145.
The 10 millionth kill was made in Week 149.
The 90 millionth dollar was paid in Week 150.
The 95 millionth dollar was paid in Week 154.

Going Forward

Going Forward, the Hot Air Program continues to be a staple of the eCanadian identity and community. It is the main source of subsidy to citizens, the biggest expense on the government's ledger, and it has proved to be effective in encouraging eCanadians to fight in the air and increase their rank.

At the beginning of the Hot Air Program, most citizens were ranked Chief Master Sergeant or lower. After one year the majority of eCanadians had reached the rank of Wing Commander. Last year the majority of Canadians have reached the rank of Group Captain, and now we have a large contingent of Air Commodores, with the most of the rest being Group Captains.

It is expected that the 100 millionth dollar will be paid out for the Hot Air Program during Week 161.

Here's to another year!
