Hello UK. o/ I'm running to be your President for a second consecutive term. Now you may well be thinking I'm insane, and you wouldn't be wrong, but unless I royally f*ck up during the next few days then I think it's safe to say this has been a pretty good month. Importantly, I think my partnership with Woldy has proven that the constitutional Dictatorship position can work just as well as Democracy.

We've got our 10/10 bonuses back and strengthened ties with Norway in the process, helped our neighbours in Belgium and Ireland against hostile attacks and given Venezuela a safe region after a long period without. Sticking it to the Montenegrins for a second time was a highlight.
Congress now even have a speaker that's trying to make them productive. Crazy times indeed.

Whilst running for CP a month ago I promised that by now we would be in a better place economically, and that we'd restore our bonuses and be in a better place with regards to foreign affairs. I've followed through on every one of these promises. I also said I'd look for someone to fight and, whilst searching for a new TW following Norway, some enemies conveniently landed in Belgium. Thanks guys!



What can we do better?
Less austerity! We can slowly start to give back to the community. A number of ideas are being thrown around currently, and there's a Congressional committee discussing ways that we can support our suppliers. From this committee other ideas are also arising to further reward our MUs. I think it's important that we begin to give back, but we need to do so in a way that won't scupper our economic recovery.

With regards to my own government, this month's MoD has been an improvement on recent times, but due to some unfortunate circumstances (real life, 'ey?) it hasn't been quite as active as I'd hoped. I've already started putting together a team that includes some of our most active players to keep all of the necessary information up-to-date.

I am reshuffling and expanding my cabinet to bring some new blood into deputy positions, and finding suitable replacements for Ministers that are standing down. If you'd like to be involved in government, please let me know! There is always more that can be done.

A proper Training War. Our fights this month have been fun but we'd all prefer a punch-up with someone closer to our size. To that end, Canada have (again) expressed interest in a Training War with the UK in the coming month. Provided nothing unexpected happens, I'll kick Klop until he comes through. We'll keep those TP medals flowing. \o/

This has been a great month of recovery, and if you re-elect me we will continue to build on the foundations set this month by staying out of costly wars and maintaining a conservative MPP stack. At the same time, I understand how quickly we all get tired of seeing our taxes amount to nothing more than growing the treasury. By focusing on building our core and streamlining our military we can try to prevent situations like another MTO.

Let's do it all again.
