English Guide for New Players

Day 4,090, 17:04 Published in Czech Republic Czech Republic by milestailsprower

Hello there,

My name in this game is Milos, though I am called many different things here. I am a longtime player with a career mainly based in the Czech Republic. Let me extend a warm welcome to you in what is a niche, but comfy text based browser game.

Feel free to send me a friend request on my profile, and consider taking some time out to reach out and talk to some of the members of our current government:

President Red Duck
Prime Minister JanPavlat
Minister of Education Pirkus

If you like to roleplay, have any sort of interest in politics, and don't mind most gameplay being typing on a keyboard to others, or clicking on buttons to conduct war, you'll fit right in. There are other things to do of course, but your enjoyment of this game will depend a lot on finding a community of players you enjoy interacting with. The many different countries have different ways of organizing their activities and government, but the primary activity that makes the world go around is military campaigning, so much of your first foray into this game should be centered around improving your ability to fight.

First Priorities

The game will prompt you to do new tasks as you level up, and it will take you through most of the basics of what the game has to offer you. So what we will do here is give you some basic ideas of what your primary goals should be for starting out.

--Join a military unit.
Coordinating everyone's attacks in the right places is one of the most important things for citizens of a country to do. If you aren't interested in politics, just let your commanders guide the way to helping our allies.

A common phenomenon in this game is that countries may agree to have a "training war" against the other, which allows for regions to be freed by resistance wars and give citizens money and medals for successfully freeing regions. More importantly, it allows citizens to fight in wars and gain military experience without necessarily having to move around all the time. So not everyone who attacks your country is an enemy, and joining a large military unit is a reliable way of making sure your military power is being put in the right place, as commanders will assign goals for you that you can then carry out.

--Spend your gold on upgrading the training centers first.
This piece of advice is pretty straightforward. It seems like using the training grounds can cost a lot of gold, but every 250 strength you gain gives you a super soldier medal, and the sweet 5 gold that comes with it. You're a better fighter with more strength, so get that good training in!

--Join a major political party.
The best way to learn about the game and get some valuable experience with the deeper mechanics of it, is to just talk to the more experienced players and get their help with elections or government positions. Most governments will be willing to take on eager players who want to be politically active, and will cycle some of them into the Congressional lineup every month.

If that doesn't make sense to you, let me explain. For Congressional elections, each party puts up a list of which of their members who want to run, and it is ordered by the Party President so that whoever is at the top of the list gets in first. In the election, people vote for whatever party they like, and then the higher percentage of votes a party gets, the more of its members get in.

Usually then, parties will be willing to throw in a mix of veterans and new players into this list. So if you are interested in politics, usually Congress will be a lot of player's first stop.

And those are really the only major points I wish to cover. If you are really new it may be a little while before you can do some of the activities above, and if you find yourself in that situation, take it in stride and use the extra time to chat around and learn about the game.

If you want to talk to other players in the game without having to use the game's messaging system, ask what people like to use. Some people prefer to use Skype, younger people tend to prefer Discord, etc. On my part, I've created a discord for our country which you can find here. Best of luck to you in this game, and if you have any questions about what the game is like, feel free to reach out and ask!

Best,
Milos
