A Little Bit of Numbers Fun! And Today in eJapan History!

Day 2,789, 22:16 Published in Japan Russia by shirosakura

Hello everyone~

みなさん、こんばんは~

I thought I'd take this chance to break the media silence and introduce everyone to a website they may (or may not) be familiar with! egov4you is a powerful analytical engine that tracks tons of aspects about life in the new world and aggregates them so that every country's data is available in one place. They track all sorts of statistics on stuff such as taxes, alliances, military units, and even a few census graphs too. In the spirit of free information, I wanted to share a few of the charts with everyone! Keep in mind, this IS a thrid-party API, so the data may not entirely be accurate. But, it's cool to get a snapshot into what our country may look like.

This first picture is a breakdown of the citizenry of eJapan, organized by military division. There are currently 255 active citizens living in eJapan, 124 of them part of the 1st Division (Blue), 55 of them part of the 2nd Division (Red), 38 of them are in the 3rd Division (Orange), and 38 more people are in the 4th Division. However, of the 255, only 87 of them actively fight in battles. it's also worth noting that 75% of the total strength of our people lies with the top 38 citizens of eJapan. The bottom 85% of eJapan accounts for the last quarter, while the relatively large 1st division accounts for a surprisingly meager 3% of the nation's damage.

The second picture is a graph of our population trends over time, from about the last year or so. There's a lot happening here, but it's a really interesting graph when you break it down! The top orange line is the number of people living within our territories, and the bottom orange line is the number of people participating in battles. The blue line is our total influence, and the red line is our tank line. The first noticeable thing is that our population, while still lower than ever overall, has remained relatively stable in the past year (although, we've lost over 20 people in the past week, a startling decline this may be unreliable). The drastic dips in the line can be inferred to be situations where Japan had a severe loss in territory, and the peaks of blue and red represent major battles. The point with the all-time highest influence (even in the past two years) was the first coup, the Tsunami coup on day 2,710, quickly followed by the TLS-CtG-DNP coup three day laters. The most recent spike can be inferred to be the airstrike on Belgium.

The last picture I want to show to everyone is a breakdown of the military strength of each unit, and it's pretty self-explanatory. What was surprising, however, was just to see how much Division 4 fighters make and break army units, as there are a surprising amount off units with five or less people that produce staggering amounts of influence.

Those, in my opinion, are the most interesting charts, but I encourage everyone to check the site out if they want! There's a lot of room for improvement, but overall I think it's a great resource for looking into the game a bit further.

Today In eJapan History - Six years ago on day 599/600, President exReality of the Imperial Sun Party lauched Operation Loli Thunder, an event designed to dissuade Indonesia from taking Kyushu as a means to invade the United States. This would be the start of the first Kyushu controversy between eJapan and eIndonesia, both nations of the massive PEACE GC alliance at the time. eJapan eventually relented, allowing Indonesia to pass through Kyushu and kicking off the the Pacific Theater of the much larger World War III (and my true involvement in the New World~!)

Until next time!
