Hi there, like you I am yet another irrational but obsessed player who is still alive in eRepublik. For some reasons, I want to recall the time when I was a lazy stupid high school student.

Hence, I will try to share a song that I used to play, along with the feelings and memories with you. After all, sharing life with friends and strangers is the sole reason for me to stay, let us see if we had a similar life.

Opening of BlueFlow(ブルーフロウ)

Full version

I had almost no pocket money when I was 15 years old, but I still managed to buy a 15HKD weekly game magazine in a biweekly manner by skipping lunch. Chinese high school students are short and skinny not because we are born in the East but we literally eat less.

It should be late Oct at 2005, it was the first time I joined a programming contest and I was transiting to the contest venue with my best friend. I bought the magazine of which the back page was an advertisement of the game "BlueFlow(ブルーフロウ)".

Undoubtedly attractive to a teenager.

Surely, I had been attracted again and I had checked for more details over the Internet after I lost the contest. I found the demo video, watched it and appreciated it. Honestly, I had regarded Kogado as a leading company in this kind of games, at least there had been responsible illustrators who would not draw silly CG like this.

Seriously...

When it released, I got the executable and started to play the game. It is a Real Time Strategy game, you can send at most 12 characters to the battle field and execute the given mission.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

The game is fine, I would say the game mechanism and story are at least not boring, and it was challenging to execute a winning strategy in some rounds. After all, it is unimaginably hard to find a game of similar type that tells a neat story with a playable game design.

Finally, I bought the game CDs when I was a first year student.
