Recently, on “General Congress”...

Derphoof, the gloriously horsey Speaker of the House, found himself in a bit of a conundrum after declaring the past month to be the easiest month of all-time. In the past term, there were no big fights, and no reported posts. So he decided to brag about this to Congress.

Congress, of course, did not like the fact that they weren’t bickering and making my life a living hell. So they all reported the post. After giving warning that I would censure and or execute all those who reported the post, Aramec questioned my unbending, iron-fisted will saying, “oy m8, 1v1 me on rust u fgt. bet ur bluffing, fgt. i’ll shank ur nan.”

Needless to say, he was censured by my righteous hand, under the authority given to me by Congress. This was a move taken to show the Congress and the people of the United States that all who question my authority will die I am a strong, independent pony who don’t need no man. With this as my last act, I exited congress for the upcoming month and did not seek reelection as speaker.

This led to a particularly interesting Speaker election wherein our two candidates were Evry from the AMP and Bob Boudahili of the BSP. The AMP, WTP, Feds, and the few SFP candidates primarily backed Evry’s bid for speakership while the BSP and USWP backed Bob for Speaker. This created an interesting dynamic which gave us a very close election. Evry would prove victorious after the 24-hour voting period, winning by a margin of 23-22.

Congrats to Evry!

eNPR

If you tuned into eNPR this past week, you know we had a bit of a problem. The show went live, the BTR jingle played, our intro started, and then… silence. That’s right, several minutes of dead air where the hosts couldn’t hear each other as well as having nothing being broadcast. This was attributed to a failure of the new HiFi studio, which is in beta mode. Once we were all able to talk, however, conflicts between Windows 8 and my Macbook hardware prevented me from properly communicating, forcing me to eventually reboot into OS X. During this time, Oblige was able to control the show as the owner of the eNPR account.

Despite these setbacks, our ratings were up from the past week! We had 22 live listeners, and a total of 34, for all listeners. It was an interesting show, seeing as we were unable to follow any sort of a show outline. It was fun, nonetheless with the hosts, callers, and listeners enjoying themselves.

Speaking of which, we invite you to enjoy the next episode of eNPR with us, Monday at 10pm EST! Shows have been reduced from 90 minutes to an hour. Come on down and listen to Derphoof and Aramec recap the past week, chat with callers, and look ahead to all things eRep.

Things to note:
-WE NOW BROADCAST IN GLORIOUS HIFI AUDIO. AWFUL AUDIO QUALITY IS GONE FOREVER.
-The bizarre last show is archived here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/enpr/2015/07/28/enpr-7-27-15
-You can no longer call-in via skype. You can only call in via phone and direct connection. If you are interested in calling in but can’t use your phone, please contact me for a direct connection link.

Sincerely, Your Media Team:
Derphoof
