Dear party members, commune workers, valiant fighters of the People's Army and interested visitors,

I have a proposal for how we deal with the produce of WAM.

The Introduction

As many of you will be aware, the PCP operates communes where workers can contribute their labour in exchange for food and weapons at a fair, profit-less rate. No-one skims off the top and workers are free to use their share of the produce in whichever way they see fit.

But eRepublik having a broken economic system, there is a great surplus of produce owing from the fact that every citizen in the game has their own companies, far more companies than we could ever hope to populate with employees. Working in your own companies (aka "Working as Manager", WAM) is taxed slightly but otherwise is pure gain offset against the cost of the health it takes to work, which can actually be substantial when you have a lot of companies. Therefore everyone is producing, possibly various qualities of food and weapons (myself, Q6 weapons and Q1 food) as well as WRM and FRM (Weapon & Food Raw Materials).

The Idea

My idea is this: members of the PCP try to only buy from each other as a collective. Often there are hundreds of offers for FRM @ £0.03 - why shouldn't that money go in the pocket of a right-minded worker rather than a profiteering capitalist? Indeed, some party members may need more RM than they can produce, so this seems like a good way to see the money stay within our party and people. I'm not suggesting that we all try to buy from party members over other citizens even where the price is more expensive, though I would probably consider doing that.

The Implementation

What's the point of a good idea if it's impractical? The PCP should be dedicated to providing real, practical solutions to the economic problems of eRepublik, and I hope this can be adopted as one of them. My idea for implementation is the use of a script-addition to party member's browsers. I know some people may be wary of these scripts, but I personally use Erepublik Stuff 1.7 and Mercenary Achievment Manager 1.2 and they make playing the game that bit easier.

The inspiration for this idea was the terrible scamming that recently took place for a party member, Sir Botham aka SycoASL. Read about his scamming here - some guy offered cheap weaps outside the market and our comrade lost money. In the posts immediately in response to this, an eUkrainian called New Faustian Man suggested the "Erepublik Economy Helper script" and claimed it would show this on a scammer's page if he is within their database:

I reckon we may be able to develop a script whereby on the actual market page, as with Erepublik Stuff's information about war scores etc., each seller who is also a party member could have a symbol next to them indicating they are a 'collective seller'. I will do some research into how possible this is but I reckon it is doable.
