[DC] World's future.

Day 2,806, 11:50 Published in Ireland South Korea by Don Croata

Hello eWorld,
it’s been a long long time since I wrote an article which analyses the eWorld last time, I kinda miss writing such articles, but with the game boring as this one and the lack of free time in real life I really can’t afford to write them more often. Well, let’s get this started then!

Even though this game has been boring us to the death for a long time already there was still several interesting events, articles, wars and shifts during the last several months. Each decision made by some country’s Government leaves a trail on what’s going to happen next in eWorld. I’ve been analyzing many articles, many shouts and I’ve been talking to many people worldwide even though I wasn’t always online and active. It’s kinda hard for me to miss some important informations so I always try to keep in touch with what happens. Anyway, the best way to write this article would be if we separate it in three different parts.

1.ALLIANCES FUTURE
2.FRIENDS AND ENEMIES
3.IRISH IN eWORLD EVENTS

ALLIANCES FUTURE
I’ve heard many people saying that alliances doesn’t have the future in the modern eRepublik. Many of them are 100% sure there won’t be any new alliance in the eWorld, at least not the major one. With Asteria as the last big alliance falling apart they might seem to be right. What’s the point of the alliance if its members are going to break the rules, make their own NAP’s and actually work just like they did before the alliance. Today countries are relying on individual support from their allied countries they signed MPP with. Considering there is no major alliance active today they seem even more right. But is it really like that? I doubt it!

Alliances has been created for numerous times in this game for a good reason. When alliances had the strong HQ, made of people with authority which has been respected by all its members it wasn’t a problem for HQ’s to actually place an order and make the whole alliance fighting in the same battle. Today there’s many fronts worldwide and none of them actually is an epic one. The only chance of epic battles these days is high CO on both sides. Back then when I was more active there’s been at least one epic (even before epic battles has been introduced) battle per day. The reason for this has been organisation. I remember the times when Aurora has been fighting, our strenght was in our organisation. Each and every MU Commander, every MoD, each country’s President knew what’s going to be our Priority 1 next day. Those people which has been influentive in their respective countries has been making sure that their armies, their countries are fighting hard for their allies in those battles. That’s the main difference between the alliance mode and no alliance mode. Most of the alliances has fallen apart either due to lack of the opposition or due to opposition being too strong.

These days alliances aren’t being formed simply due to lack of the alliances on the other side. It seems there’s no need for an alliance since the battles are pretty close and hard to win for any side. But, imagine having six or even seven stronger countries hitting in the same battle, organised with all their MU’s having that very same battle as their Priority 1 and DO/COD. Today, this alliance with only 6-7 members would be able to win any battle in the world. Regardless of the size of the enemy, fighting 6 countries is never easy. I’m sure that if Aurora has been still alive and organised just like in the start of the alliance there’s no country which would be able to defeat us. We would dominate the eWorld today. Of course, it’s not that easy to get back to the old state and that’s the strongest argument of non-alliance believers. Is there enough “friendship” left in this game to make alliance? I believe there is. I believe that any future organised alliance is going to have at least several months of dominance while the opposition creates an alliance again. Because without alliances this game just makes no sense. Eventually, without the alliances we won’t have much to do in this eWorld.

The huge difference between the old and new alliance is going to be the way alliances are organised. It was all based on pure damage back then, but today, the alliances will need to be much more like those in V1 of Erepublik. Remember the name of EDEN? It was Erepublik Defence and ECONOMY Network. This ECONOMY part has become much more important today again. Imagine the alliance of 6-7 countries having 6-7 state funds, over 100 national organisation and a huge capital to play with. This alliance would be organised, if its constitution says that the Ministries of Finances of those countries need to work together the alliance would be able to play with the Monetary market, influence the global state of money much stronger and actually put itself in the leading position simply by having the huge capital to work with. The alliances Banks are going to mean much more than in the recent time. Maybe even more than it was a case back in EDEN. Money makes the world goes around. Erepublik isn’t much different than this.

FRIENDS AND ENEMIES
After Sirius and Aurora fallen apart Asteria took the world domination. As it was expected it couldn’t last for a too long time. Asteria isn’t existing as an alliance anymore neither. They might be an alliance on the paper, but in fact it’s not even close to what it used to be. Of course, that’s expected when you don’t have a real opposition to fight with. Many things has changes since Aurius vs. Asteria times. But some things haven’t changed at all.

USA has shifted to the other side, their best friends today are Argentina and Romania.
Croatia has stayed loyal to Greece and rejected Bulgaria and Macedonia.
Poland kept being individual strong country trading their damage.
Turkey stayed aside from all the major events in eWorld, which turned bad for them.
Chile, Argentina and Serbia actually played the game.
Bulgaria and Macedonia united against Greece and they are actually having a good time now.

The major future alliances question is Chile. I believe that’s the country which is going to decide on what the future alliance are going to look like. Since there are still strong divide in three groups in eWorld (Aurora-Sirius-Asteria) and it’s kinda hard to expect it’s going to stay this way then it’s obvious that Chile is the one to decide which of the two sides are going to be stronger. Obviously, Macedonia and Bulgaria aren’t going to fight Asteria (Serbia) as strong as they used to, they are going to be focused on the Greece which isn’t really Asteria anymore. While not fighting Serbia that much anymore, Bul-Mkd also became a friend with Hungary, another Serbian ally. Why this happened? Well, Bulgaria and Macedonia has been a fightdog for a long time, they’ve been anti-Asteria, but they’ve never or rarely recieved the help of Sirius. It all culminated after Croatia decided to support Greece against Bulgaria even though Greece had Serbian MPP in that moment. After that it became clear to Macedonia and Bulgaria that they will never be able to count of Croatia or Turkish support and they had to find another “side” to rely on. The only possibile solution has been SerHun. Since Macedonia has been a friend of Hungary for a long time it turned out to be easier than they thought. Bulgaria and Macedonia aren’t going to become friends with Serbia, but they will surely take “that side” in the future. It’s kinda similar of what Aurora has been to Sirius.

On the other side we have Croatia, Greece and Turkey. None of them is going to be in alliance with Serbia ever again. It doesn’t mean Greece is going to attack Serbia, but it’s clear that that story is over. Considering the hatred between MkdBg and GrTrCro it’s pretty clear that Serbia will have easy job picking their enemies. One of this groups isn’t going to fight them. Hungarians are going to stay loyal to Serbia, same as Romanians I believe. Having those three countries + Slovenia and probably Argentina it makes this group the strongest of all. Especially keeping in mind that exAurora and exSirius won’t be able to work together ever again. What it means?

It means that Chile, Spain, USA and few other mid-sized countries are going to decide which of these sides is going to be stronger. USA may not have many place to manoeuvre it’s clear now why I believe Chile is going to be the game winner. Chile has friends on all the sides. Chile’s oldest allies are Macedonia and Bulgaria, but recently they’ve became very close to Croats as well. Turkey is their ally too, while they’ve never really fought directly against Greece. On the other side Chile has their oldest and most loyal friends, while on the other side they have a bit stronger countries. On the other side, Mkd and Bg combined with Hungary and Serbia would make a stronger side against Croats, Turks and Spain. It’s going to be hard for Chile to make this call, but it’s becoming more and more clear that they are have to make the decision. A decision which is going to determine the future of eWorld.

IRELAND IN eWORLD

Being a small community as we are we can make a huge difference, we have our own advantages such as traditionally strong finances. We’re also always happy to help with an Airstrike which everyone always appreciate, but we’re not the ones to change the game, that’s obvious for everyone. In the recent years Ireland has made friends on all sides, we have been one of the oldest allies of Croatia, we’ve been part of Aurora and met best friends such as Macedonia there. Bulgaria is one of our oldest allies too while Chile has been fighting so strong for us it would be impossible for us to forget that. On a local aspect we have many friends nearby as well. United Kingdom has been a good friends (with some mistakes, but who cares), USA has always supported us when we asked. I don’t even have to mention Canada. Even the Scandinavian countries has been pretty friendly for us. We’re safe, but is it enough? We can’t always be friendly with everyone, it might be secure way to go, but it’s not fun.

We’ll need to pick us a side and I believe our decision is going to be as hard as the Chilean one, if not even harder!

Many smaller countries has been satisfied with being in the small alliances with other smaller countris and serving the bigger countries, while eIreland has always been strong diplomatically. We have strong intelligence, we have many friends and frankly, we’re pretty cool country to have in the alliance. We don’t cause any problems, we give strong members of HQ and we’ve always been contributive on the battlefields. I see no reason even for a stronger alliances not to take us in. But which one to pick? That’s the real question. Are we going to find some compromise? Or we’re going to go all in finally? It’s all up to us, but whatever we pick, we better not dissapoint our new or our old allies. It’s not what we do. There’s one attribute I’d always link with Ireland and it’s loyalty. Let’s keep it that way!

Well, that’d be all for today, I hope you liked my ideas and I’m looking forward to see what’s your opinion. Feel free to share this wall of text and let’s have some sh*tstorm!

Yours,
Don Croata
