A Triumph of Liberation: Northern Ireland Returns to the eUK
Addaway
In a historic turn of events, the eUnited Kingdom has achieved a resounding victory in the liberation of Northern Ireland. After a courageous Resistance War was begun by TRS members off their own back, Macedonia has agreed to return the occupied region. This triumph is not only a testament to the unwavering spirit of our people but also opens up new opportunities and possibilities for our nation.
For far too long, Northern Ireland remained under foreign control, a constant reminder of the need for vigilance and unity in our great nation. The eUK's determination to reclaim this territory symbolizes our commitment to upholding our sovereignty and securing our borders. The successful Resistance War demonstrates the strength of the eUK's community and the resilience of its citizens.
The return of Northern Ireland holds immense significance not only for its historical value but also for its strategic importance in the world of Training Wars (TWs). The eUK has hosted nations like Bulgaria and North Macedonia on its mainland for the purpose of conducting TWs. However, due to the shortage of available regions, we have been unable to accommodate additional allies, such as Turkey.
This is where Northern Ireland comes into play. Its geographical location along the borders of Bulgaria and North Macedonia positions it as the ideal buffer region for hosting Training Wars. The eUK can utilize Northern Ireland to facilitate these TWs and free up core regions on the mainland for additional allies. This proposal serves as a practical solution to address the space constraints the eUK has encountered and enables us to expand our international alliances.
While some may view this move as a change in policy, it is, in fact, a strategic adaptation to the evolving circumstances. The eUK has always advocated for an active and dynamic approach to foreign affairs, and the liberation of Northern Ireland aligns with our goals of maintaining a strong presence on the global stage. We are not simply securing our borders; we are enhancing our diplomatic capabilities and demonstrating our commitment to fostering alliances.
In conclusion, the return of Northern Ireland is a monumental achievement for the eUnited Kingdom, showcasing our resilience, unity, and commitment to our national interests. By using Northern Ireland strategically in the realm of Training Wars, we can free up core regions on our mainland for hosting additional allies and strengthen our international relations.
As we move forward, let us remember the significance of this victory and the endless possibilities it offers for our nation. Together, we shall continue to build a stronger, more united, and globally engaged eUK. Northern Ireland is not just a region on the map; it is a symbol of our indomitable spirit and our unwavering quest for freedom and progress.

Knuckle dragging fools stirring stuff up for no good reason
I am ashamed to be associated with this garbage
Not even congress was consulted The RW should be opposed and defeated
Keithunder, I appreciate your perspective, and I respect your right to express your opinion. The liberation of Northern Ireland has been a topic of debate and discussion, and I understand that not everyone may agree with the approach taken.
The decision to start a resistance war was made with careful consideration and consultation among fellow citizens who believed it was the right course of action. It's essential to remember that in a democracy, differing views are part of the process, and I believe that it's through dialogue and open debate that we can move forward.
While I understand your concerns, I believe this liberation is an opportunity to make Northern Ireland a valuable asset for our nation. Let's continue to engage in a constructive conversation about how to best utilize this region for the benefit of all citizens.
High Treason from the disgusting troll formerly known as Addaway
It's quite surprising to see such strong language used against a legitimate effort to recover Northern Ireland, a region that rightfully belongs to the eUK. It's worth noting that your own government is now actively supporting the recovery of NI. The use of game mechanics as intended is hardly an act of treason. How can it be treason to seek the return of our own land? We merely followed the principles of the game.
Let's encourage open dialogue and cooperation rather than resorting to name-calling and hostility. The recovery of Northern Ireland is a significant achievement for our nation, and we should all be working together to ensure its successful return to the eUK.
You misspelt illegitimate
Keithunder,
Listen carefully. I didn't misspell anything. "Legitimate" and "illegitimate" are two different words. The key issue here is the discussion about the recovery of Northern Ireland. Let's stick to that point.
The key issue is whether we are a democracy and if the losers in congress and the electorate can make decisions for the whole UK
As has been said in another article, yes we are a democracy, but not in the RL sense. And in eRepublik, RW's are not a decision that needs Government or Congress approval.
If they were, there would be either a law or CP button for it.
Neither do cit requests or any other stuff that we discuss in congress so congress ids dead or at least the views of TRS congress members should be disregarded as there are no lwas or buttons for hem to press
Cit requests literally requre a Congress member to press a button, what are you on about?
As do donation laws.
As do taxes.
As do wars.
As do MPP's.
All of which we discuss.
and we agree to abide by the decision of congress before we do. Unless of course you are a TRS member in which case you just ignore the vote
And RW's is not on that list, can you not read?
RW's have never been subject to Congress' approval.
Who are we to refuse getting one of our own regions back, willingly from the occupier?
I respectfully oppose Keith's interpretation of events 🙂
Also: High Treason!
I don't know how keen they are but I'll do my bit
I consider a positive achievement the return of a region to our eCountry, especially a strategic one.
I can’t fully appreciate the method, tough: not long ago we were debating the role of Congress and the duty of the President to respond to our assembly of its actions, and then this seems an unilateral initiative (forgive me if I am wrong). Consulting citizenry should be as important as keeping posted their elected officials.
Again, I understand the spirit and, most of all, the result. My question is: is not Foreign Policy a matter devolved to the government? If the Foreign Office wasn’t at least given a chance to be involved, it would be one political side negotiating with a foreign Empire in place of the CP and his cabinet.
As always, I do not mean to provoke or anything, just to discuss with you the events. Also avoiding personal attacks and harsh language is important

Militarista,
I appreciate your viewpoint and your dedication to open discussion. The recovery of Northern Ireland is indeed a positive achievement for our eCountry, and I share your sentiments.
You bring up a valid concern about the process, and I want to clarify that this initiative was carried out based on an in-game mechanism, which allowed us to attempt a resistance war for Northern Ireland. It's important to note that discussions and questions were raised initially. However, the President's statement that no further questions or discussions on this matter would be entertained left us with limited options.
Our primary goal was to regain control of this strategic region, and we believe this outcome is in the best interest of our eNation.
Your willingness to engage in civil and constructive discussions is greatly appreciated. Let's continue to focus on the positive outcome of this operation and work together for the benefit of the eUK.

You decided to ignore congress and the democratic process. So Congress is no longer legitimate in my view the TRS has lost the right to take part in it's discussions
Keithunder,
Let me break it down for you. In eRepublik, there's a system where citizens can start Resistance Wars (RWs) – that's the game's design, and it's how things work.
Just like how Congress operates is part of the game's design. It can't control who starts RWs, just like it can't exclude TRS or any other political party. This isn't about ignoring anyone; it's about everyone playing by the same rules.
I hope this makes things crystal clear. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.

I see you, lil 14 million for freedom
I'm not free but I don't charge much
