What happened to experienced CP's?

Day 1,744, 05:24 Published in Ireland Ireland by Sean MacDiarmata

Hello Citizens of eIreland,

I was sitting here with a cup of tea and wondering how come we don't see CP's who have experience of the highest Ministerial roles being elected or even running for President of our state. Over the past few elections there has been a low level of quality runners to challenge for the job and this is very bad for Ireland, a role like President should have a person who has experience in MoD and MoFA roles but we don't see this anymore.

Back in the day when you wanted to take on the top job you had to spend months doing the back breaking work (literally if you are on planning battles for hours on end) just to be able to consider having anyone back you to run, now a days you can do nothing what so ever and run for President (I know its allowed but should never be met with good luck, or voting for them). Even if we have a good candidate running we need someone to challenge for the role so that we have a good choice between runners.

This month is exactly what I mean
~This is not to be looked at as an attack or anything like that I am pointing out the obvious.~

Joey Mills released an article in which he states that he is running due to two failed NE's proposals, this is a shocking reason to run for the most important role in the game. He states that he will release articles soon but looking at his one (linked above) the only reason he is running is over the failed NE's - I have no knowledge of Joey holding any senior roles within the MoD or MoFA, which means he is lacking the key skills for this job.

Matko Gljiva who is currently temp banned for possible multies but you never know if this has been done by admin by mistake as it happens. I have seen Matko around the place but not enough to think he is anywhere near experienced enough to be President of Ireland - People will say well he is level 38 but that doesn't matter a single bit if you haven't held key roles. Some high rank players just fight and that is it, so rank isn't everything in this game if you have the exp to match.

Bean&Teddy has been a commander of a MU which at least is something and has said he held MoD roles and advisor with former CP's and the current one. Now people shouldn't post in the comments giving out about me not mentioning MoC as a key role, it is an important position one which when I was CP I always wanted it to be run by the best but it is not a key role in what I am talking about in this article.

Ronisu who is our current President so has done an alright job so far but I have heard complaints about lack of wars but bar that I think it has gone smoothly. He lacks key exp but has being vMoFA before which means he has experience dealing with our allies in EDEN/TERRA and other nations, the lack of war may be the one that will cost him next month as war tends to be the main thing to keep us in the game.

ChewChewShoe - Chew has held all the top jobs in the game being CP, MoD a number of times and MoFA as well, he has also been a command in Irelands oldest MU being the ICA. In ChewChewShoes term as CP we saw Ireland attacking and conquering three regions in Scandanavia along with Ireland helping to pillage London and the wiping of the UK which being Irish (when no treaty was in place) meant it was one of my favourite times in the game for a very long time. If ChewChewShoe wins and does even half of what we saw in his last term it will be another fun month for us all, only problem now is that it may be a bit more difficult but not impossible.

So who are the best choices?

We can rule out all bar Ronisu, Bean&Teddy and ChewChewShoe to be honest, nothing against the other candidates but from what I can see they have not held the roles I would consider key to keeping Ireland fun and safe.

Between the two it is hard to decide who to choose, Ronisu has had a decent term this month. For one we haven't been wiped which compared to others with the same experience that were CP that is a plus, some will complain about lack of wars to keep things interesting and that can be costly but that isn't 100% as you never know.

ChewChewShoe has the most experience and we know what kind of term we get when he has his finger on the button and that is a term of fun and punching above our weight, in a small country like ours fun is a key thing to help us not only keep our existing players but to gain more.

So far I would be voting for ChewChewShoe but this is only me and people vote for who they want so no commenting saying im asking people to vote for ChewChewShoe.

He has far more experience and has proven ability to put Ireland on the big stage and that was a period that got us a tonne of new players, loads coming from Canada and Croatia most still being here now.

Being Swayed
It will be easier for everyone to see who we will be voting for once the manifestos are released and we can see the runners plans for the coming month, as a note to the candidates I will say don't just say your going to do this and that which you know you can't do. It will cost you votes because people will know if its possible or not.

We shall see over the coming days who actually is worth voting for so I ask all voting players to read the articles released and make the right decision because it may be a game but when a game loses all fun due to the likes of being wiped it costs our small country a lot over the coming months.

Good luck to all candidates who are running, over the coming days have a think to yourself are you better of running for CP or backing someone else, don't run if you don't think you are up to it as you may take votes away from someone you think is good for the job.

Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for my follow up articles,
