USA in the Circle!

Something that I wanted to write about, but haven’t been able to find the time to, has been the United States’ formal acceptance into Circle of Trust. This is a major event in our history, and I wanted to take a few moments to express my thoughts on why CoT was the best choice for the United States.

In November, President Cerb and I came to the conclusion that the United States needed to solidify our foreign policy. Every new President getting elected and putting their twist on foreign affairs was killing us. Relationships were changing month to month.

Cerb’s plan to create Bro Pacts with Brazil, Albania and Russia was key to our philosophy. It solidified our commitment to those nations. Towards the end of the term, it became clear that the best way to solidify our foreign policy was to join an alliance. It would give us a set list of MPPs, and a core group of countries to call friends.

EDEN was in the middle of their year long death throes (which finally ended), so they weren’t an option.
TWO was never considered.
Nor was Asgard.
The Canadian President was trying to create a new alliance, but it was made up almost entirely of small countries, and died quickly.

We were left with one option. And it was the most intriguing one.



President Cerb, Vice President Inwegen and myself had multiple meetings with the leadership of CoT, and became convinced that they would be an excellent fit for the United States.

They were the outcasts so to speak. Unwanted and rejected by the other alliances, they had banded together under the principles of trust, friendship and equality to form a powerful alliance. With the addition of the United States, we knew that the Circle of Trust had the potential to rule the world.

There were questions of course, and some of them still persist. But for us, the benefits outweighed the costs.

We brought Congress into the fold and when Inwegen was elected President in December, we began the process of formally applying to the alliance. That process was finished during Fingerguns’ term and we were a trial member of the alliance.

Our Trial membership was not without issues however. On numerous occasions I found myself deeply frustrated with CoT HQ, and our decision to join the alliance. I believed in the alliance, but not in the leadership. During Fingerguns’, John Killah’s and Vanek’s (first) terms, things were rough.

With the election of a new HQ last month, things have become noticeably better. Relations between CoT HQ and the United States are excellent, and the relations between CoT and TWO are strained. The Circle of Trust is one step closer to being completely independent.




I believe in the Circle of Trust.

I am thankful for the ATO help that nations like Mexico and Macedonia have given to us. Their actions speak volumes, they took a chance on a nation that they had been at war with.

I know that if TWO ever finds their courage and attacks us, that CoT will be at our side, fighting to stop any invasion. I hope it doesn’t come to that and part of me doesn’t think it will. Mostly because TWO is a giant sack of vaginas.
I would much rather spend the weeks and months fighting for Bulgaria against Serbia, but if push comes to shove, I know CoT will be there for us.
