Sometimes even the strangest idea can start a movement...

The dude in the beginning of the video was so... weird... that there are actually multiple postings of this on youtube from a variety of different angles. In other words, while that guy was off doing his own crazy thing, everyone around him thought he was bizarre enough to grab the smartphone and start recording.

But something interesting happens. Another dude appears.

Then another dude.

Then like two more.

Then like five more.

And within a minute and a half, people are literally RUNNING to join in.

What started out looking like a bad acid trip for some random loner turned into a massive dance party.

What does it take to start a movement?

The guy at Sasquatch 2009 (watch the video) was not the best dancer, didn't have very good rhythm, fell down a few times, and (if you watch the long version) had to endure a bit of mockery and some early failures.

But that dude was COMMITTED. Nothing was going to stop him.
And that dude was UNIQUE. Nobody else on that hill was even close.
And that dude was SUCCESSFUL. Eventually, the mob was so big that you can't even discern him.

And that is what it takes to start a movement:
Commitment
Individuality
and Success

Easy Company Militia is on the cutting edge of doing all three.





There are L O N G T I M E members like Sozo, Heero Blaze, and LordBryant.

There are behind-the-scenes benefactors like ballmonkey, WintersFury1, Greene12, and a growing list of resource donators.

There are hard core devotees like We.The.People, R.W. Reagan, Spartanpwnr007, and Slade Cash.

There is the XO and Lead Quartermaster Neron Trocki and his team of QM beasts: stewy, heysenberg, Malarkey83, Matthew Hall, randomjacker, SempreNox, and Mr. BoobooKittybottoms.

Commitment is STANDARD ISSUE.





One thing EZC is NOT is an exclusive hang-out for the Federalist Party.

We have absolutely NO prejudice against any political party. While it is true that we are often the target of potshots from other people who do have a political agenda, our only agenda is to become the finest all-around Militia in eRepublik.

One of our current XO's is a member of the USMJ Party. We are promoting several non-Federalists to Captain this month. The ONLY job in the unit that is open only to a Federalist is my job, the Commander post. It is a matter of policy for us to promote without prejudice for any other position.

That is why we have defended our members against political assaults no matter who they are.

When Dutch Marley came under fire from his Political enemies, we were asked to boot him from EZC.
WE DID NOT.

When (now dead) Athanaric was ostracized for his outspoken criticism of his former MU, EZC welcomed him in.

...and there have been others.


Our Uniqueness also includes innovators and leaders:

We're proud to have entrepreneur and businessman CLOYD WALLIS among our ranks whose Wallis Stock Exchange is a very unique opportunity for all.

We are proud of our own Leos111 whose Lion Loans continues to benefit many.


And another facet of our Uniqueness is our game-friendly policy of making life simple for our soldiers. While we have our own IRC rooms, we do not require IRC. While we have our own forum (graciously hosted by the Federalist Party), we do not require Forum participation. The only non-eRepublik clicks we require are our GDoc supply request. Everything else can be done (and is done) ingame. Nice, huh? There is no other major Military Unit that can say this.

Individuality is STANDARD ISSUE.




As recently as last October, Easy Company was the 12th ranked MU in the country, our daily rations were a matter of Q2 guns and some scraps of bread, and our membership was at 65 and waning.

So when I was asked to lead this unit, I made the commitment to eschew mediocrity. Success was our only future.

In the intervening months, we have climbed near to the top of the ranks. Only the wildly successful USARMY, an MU which sports over 1700 members, is ranked above us in daily kills (EZC has achieved #2 status in 3 of the past 4 days and is trending upwards).

But EZC is not just about high kill numbers.

Since becoming CO, I have achieved Legendary Force status and am half way to my first *.

ballmonkey is World Class Force *** and about 2 days from Legendary Force.

Angelini is World Class Force ** and climbing steadily.

jmarsh98 is a World Class Force* and will have ** within 3 days of this writing.

But Easy Company does not simply measure success by having Tanks. We think that Success is about MAKING tanks. And at EZC we are as welcoming to brand new players as we are grizzled Veterans. Just look at our impressive mix:

10% of our Soldiers are National Force or better.

10% of our Soldiers are Lieutennant or lower.

And our standard issue 16 Q6 tanks is the same for everyone (provided they work in commune and wear an EZC uniform. We provide Q5 tanks for non-uniformed commune workers).



But perhaps the most exciting success story in Easy Company right now is our Heavy Armour Division (HAD).

Led by HAD XO RsAD, the Easy Company HAD is a rewards-based "unit" comprised of any regular member who on any day makes 50 or more kills. The reward for achieving HAD status is 10 extra Q6 tanks.

A HAD Elite designation is achieved by those who kill 75 or more in a single day. Another 10 Q6 tanks go to HAD Elite. Yes, 36 Tanks.

And each day our HAD Elite Champion earns an additional 10 Q6 tanks.

This means, for instance, that yesterday's HAD Elite Champion was
Yoon Fow who made 140 kills and received 46 Q6 tanks as daily supply.

We do this every. single. day.

Success is STANDARD ISSUE.



Yes, I admit, Easy Company is not the McDonalds of Military Units in eRepublik.

To the haters, we sometimes look a little bit like that dude dancing on the hillside.

But to everyone else, and especially to those interested in playing eRepublik with people who are polite, fun, and dedicated... to those who are interested in COMMITMENT, INDIVIDUALITY, and SUCCESS... Easy Company is simply the

BEST DAMNED MILITIA IN THIS GAME,

and we're gonna be UNSTOPPABLE.
