True Game

I have been playing this game for a long time, probably much longer than I ever should. I've been playing for one side for over 10 years. It was Croatian/Irish side of the game. During that time I have met some wonderful people. I spent nights with them fighting the enemies and celebrating victories. My entire history of Erepublik was based on a true meaning of friendships. Something I cherished most of all.

At some point, most of my friends has left the game, only the few have stayed. I went pretty inactive. I wasn't very interested in the game. While I was gone things has changed, people got busy with some other stuff and I felt bored. Few things happened in a short period of time and I have decided to move to South Africa and become a Lazokrat. They always seemed like a good band of brothers to me. They've been an old MU using the old avatar, they did some things together and their blue flags always caused me fear when I faced them from the other side. Luckily enough, that wasn't too often. They were too expensive.

Anyway, when I moved to South Africa and became Lazokrat I had a feeling that this is something I haven't experienced for a long time, probably since V1 of this game. The only problem was language, most of the day they spoke Turkish and I was tired of translating. Tifonus showed up since the beginning and I enjoyed spending that short time I remained active talking to him. He's a great lad, smart, compassionate and fun.

Couple of days ago he faced threats by some anonymous guy I never heard of. I wasn't interested in who that guy is. There has been so many occasions in history of this game when private fights ended up as a war. I knew this is one of those. I also knew most of the Lazokrats don't really want to fight someone from their side. But, someone has insulted their friend, their brother.

There's not many things in this game that makes it a True Game. Friendships are one of those things. Today that friendship, that loyalty and support has been more than obvious. Lazokrats, backed up with Serbs, destroyed eUkraine. There are probably million reasons why Serbs fought there, but I respect every single one of them for doing so. Most of the time this game is pretty automatic. Only once in a while you're truly able to show what you're really made of. Lazokrats did that today, so did Serbs, they stood with their own even when that wasn't a smart thing to do in nowadays standards. I don't care much about what happens to the alliances, but it's probably not smart to allow a fight between your own lines.

This article is just paying respect to that. To the people who fight with their own. To friends who show up when they're needed no matter what is at stake. That's what makes Erepublik a True Game.
