To gain a resource - How hard can it be?

First of all I want to thank you all for such a big financial support of my last article.

In the begining of this „Resource war“ no one knew exactly how hard it will be to gain wanted resources. Here in Croatia we thought that best strategy would be to open as many wars as we can, smash the walls to max and collect the resource. But Plato had a different idea.

So after a couple of days of fighting, it was clear that aproach with 10 or so active battles is useless, and that something must be changed. We reduced the number of battles, and start to monitor our speed of collecting domination points (DP), rapidly changing battle orders, shauting orders ingame, on irc channels, viber etc. But that was of limited success. The rule of the oldest battle also started to play a role, because too many countries were after same resource and crossed 30 000 in the same time.

Eventually, at the end, I think excel is used to calculate, track and forecast DP-s in mini battles in order to collect famous 30 000 DPs at right time. As if that was not enough then our neighbors started to sabotage our efforts by pushing the walls against us and raising RW-s in last minute.

But, despite all of that, Croatia somehow managed to collect 6 7 resources (Fruits, Cattle, Grain, Deer, Aluminum, Oil and Saltpeter). So we have 90% bonus for food and 60% for weapons.
In those early days, when I was trying to make my own exel sheet for calculation of DP's, I took these screenshots on eRep day 3096 during fight for saltpeter in which we didn't participate. Pictures are taken minute after minute:.







Is this a photo-finish or what??
After who knows how many hours of watching the walls and coordinating actions three countries have same number of DP's (10). Unbelievable.
