The Opening Days of Operation Gangnam Style

Day 1,889, 10:45 Published in USA USA by Israel Stevens

Editor’s Note: War reporting was the catalyst for everything that has happened in my eRep career. I thought it would be fun to go back to my roots for Operation Gangnam Style. Please note, that I will only be reporting on the American battles in Asia, or any battle that directly affects our operation there.

Even busting out the old graphics! O.o

Five days ago, President Fingerguns announced the start of Operation Gangnam Style. The idea was simple: the United States would lead a liberation effort for the occupied nations of Japan and South Korea.

Korean peninsular, with Japan and USA occupied Taiwan.

The first step, was for South Korea to declare the United States as their Natural Enemy. Once the law passed, South Korea attacked the American held region of North Taiwan. The battle went as expected, with the United States winning every single round, en route to a 83-0 victory. This battle served a much larger purpose. It gave the United States the initiative to attack.

The original plan had been for the United States to use their initiative to attack South Korean held Jeollanam-do. Unfortunately, Taiwan declared South Korea as their Natural Enemy and managed to capture Jeollanam-do before the United States could attack it. Taiwan knows that they cannot beat the United States head to head, and as such they have attempted to cut off the border multiple times. The attack on Jeollanam-do was the first attempt.

South Korean attack, followed by Taiwanese attack.

The loss of Jeollanam-do to Taiwan, meant that the United States’ war with South Korea was closed, due to a lack of a shared border. America promptly declared Taiwan as their Natural Enemy, and waited for the law to pass so that they could take the fight to Taiwan.

The Americans also opened a Resistance War in the northern most region of Gangwon-do, hoping that Taiwan would win the battle, and prevent South Korea from opening another Resistance War (there is a 24 hour cool down timer if the occupying nation wins the Resistance War).

Northern Resistance War

EDEN tanked hard for South Korea to make sure that they would be able to open up another Resistance War in the one Taiwanese region that borders the United States (Jeollanam-do). But American ingenuity caught up to them in the end, as a group of Americans led by n0s3 managed to open a Resistance War in the southern most region of Jeju. This prevents Taiwan from running away from the United States.

Conclusion

It is no surprise that Taiwan is attempting to hide from the United States. They have been a big fish in a small pond for a long time, until Brazil and the United States teamed up to occupy them. Since then, they have continued to occupy South Korea and Japan. The liberation mission being led by the United States is a major threat to them, and will likely see them wiped.
Presently, we are awaiting the first American attack on Taiwan, something that should be coming in the next few hours.
