From The End of Friendship to The End of Media Module

Day 2,467, 02:06 Published in Romania France by Nimeni nimic

This new series of Plato's mission, Tycoon ones, might actually sign the death sentence of friendship as a formal relationship in Erepublik. Of course these missions aren't time sensitive, nobody actually has to make 100 new friends in a few hours or so, but most of the players will. Their list of "friends" won't eventually mean anything: everybody will befriend anybody, and that's nobody, very often.

I could quote [cough] Baudrillard's Fatal strategies, but what's the point? The post-modern hypertely of pritty much everything around us, including the so-called "friendship", isn't worth a nice pair of beautifully-shaped (hyper-)boobs.

We can still befriend the Military Unit or Political Party colleagues. We will remember our first true Erepublik friends by name, in an ocean of circumstance Platonic "friends" (among paid subscribers or voters; we might as well adopt a clone or two). Or we might just play along and send Plato to hell the very minute we take his rewards.

For TO-ers, this might be an excellent opportunity to infiltrate a political party or military unit, in order to legitimate later by common friends; but that's another story...

The rest is silence... This might be the end of media module, as well...

PS Didn't know about this literary contest when I wrote my article, or else I should have named it "My epic battle with boredom".
