The City is Fallen and I am Still Alive....
Ronald Gipper Reagan
I wanted to write a meaningful article today to tell you all a little bit about one of my personal heroes, and how I try to use his example and apply it to everyday life, as well as eRepublik. On February 8th, 1404, Constantine XI Palaiologis was born. He was the last Roman Emperor, reigning over what remained of the once glorious Eastern Roman/Byzantine Empire. He was the Emperor who courageously led the defense of Constantinople when the Ottoman Turks came to steal the city.
Like Emperor Constantine XI, I never give up, and I never abandon my people. Although the odds may seem enormous, I believe that the act of a great and honorable man is to persevere until the very end. We can take the Byzantine-Turkish example and apply it to the eUSA. We felt that nothing could hold us back at our peak, and little by little they chipped away at our magnificent Empire. Our party and our faction stood for values and principles which are at the cornerstone of our identity as a free and prosperous people. We have no one to blame for the fact that the malevolent forces facing us were able to use all sorts of dirty tricks to whittle us down to where we stand today.
In 1453 for seven weeks, vastly outnumbered Byzantine forces and their Italian allies from Venice and Genoa valiantly defended the city. Emperor Constantine himself was told by the Ottoman Sultan that he could surrender the city and continue to rule from Mistra. His response was that of a true leader when he said "To surrender the city to you is beyond my authority or anyone else's who lives in it, for all of us, after taking the mutual decision, shall die out of free will without sparing our lives."
True to his word, Emperor Constantine led the defense of the city, and made the Ottomans pay a heavy price at the very least. All is not lost my friends. We can still recover, and we can still change the USA, and by proxy, the world for the better, but know that I will stand up and fight against evil until the last. I have the same philosophy in reality as I have in eRepublik, and that is simple, to strip off my Imperial garments and fight alongside our soldiers until the very end. Like the final words of Emperor Constantine before he courageously charged in to battle, "The city is fallen and I am still alive."
And to the eUSA elites and their friends, you can't kill me. I will just be encased in marble to awake one day to lead my people to retake their city.

The Ottomans did not "steal" the city. They conquered it in battle, fair and square. They were simply better than the Byzantine Empire, The Romans were done.

This is probably the greatest insult against Ajay you had at your disposal...well done.
meh.
I love how you compare yourself to notable historical figures Ajay. You have the biggest ego that I have ever seen on eRepublik or any other online game that I have played.
You failed before, you failed now, you will fail again.
I would rather you encase yourself in carbonite
Please do not damn the reputation of Emperor Constantine XI by claiming him as your hero.
His mother was Serbian 😃
And he used her last name Dragas
Dragas is not serbian/ in fact, at the time of Bz Empire there were not serb at all/ only christians/ orthodox and catholic and muslims... so, serbs, you're latecommers in the civilized lands.
Who taught you history 😛 😃
Nice article.

It must be so hard keeping track of who you are, in your diseased little particles of grey matter.
Sometimes you think you are Jesus, other times you are Jeff Davis, or George Washington, or Robert E Lee, let's see who else, hmmm, oh yeah that dementia infested clown Ronnie Reagan, I think you have even compared yourself to MLK once or twice. But to me, you are just my sad little clownboy, that I get to laugh at every time you write stuff like this. You make me giggle with delight at your odd rantings. You are the true King of Clownboys everywhere. Now do that silly little dance that I so love.
Constantinus XI Paleologus Dragash was SERB!
"I believe that the act of a great and honorable man is to persevere until the very end."
You aren't great. You aren't honorable. You aren't a man, in a normative sense.
How's the campaign going, Congress"man" Bruno?
Not to comment on the article content or anything, but how's it going, Ajay?
Did you recently come back from vacation or something?
